Works great, easy to install

We purchased this mount for our new 46" flat screen TV. My husband installed it easily and it works great, allowing us to position the TV within the opening of our built-in wall unit for viewing yet move it aside if we need to reach behind it.

This is a great wall mount but it is HEAVY! The combined weight of the mount and screen is about 130-150 lbs - so make sure you have something very solid to mount it on.

Good unit and easy to install. Had to disassemble the TV mount brackets as the set was 46" with the smaller Vega mounting holes. The supplied bracket is only good on the larger Vega mounting holes. No such warning on the mfg web site. It will work, but not as intended. Lag bolts supplied are too large. Also, my situation required a mounting board, and while many bolts are provided, no washers or nuts. Had to travel to the hardware store for lagbolts, washers, metric nuts.
Loosen all the swivels (allen wrenchs supplied) to get it to adjust without excessive force.
Omnimount Dual Cantilever Mount 2008-04-06
I purchased this mount through Amazon and I could not be happier with it. The package came banged up a bit but everything was intact and none of the pieces were missing. This mount is built like a tank and I currently have a 58 inch Panasonic plasma on it.
The only downside to this product is the average instruction manual. I currently have this placed over my fireplace and it takes a good amount of effort to extend it out and to push it back in. Its impossible to do this without a ladder because of where I have it mounted but I would believe that it you have it mounted shoulder height, it would be much easier.
Installation was definitely a two man job and you want to make sure that this thing is mounted solid into a stud because the mount itself weighs quite a bit. Cable management on this piece is also okay. Its a great mount to get through Amazon for the price. Similar Sanus mounts cost $500 and up and this works just as well.
This is one serious mount 2008-03-30
This is one heavy-duty mount! It weighs as much as my 52" LCD TV! It does just about everything and does it well. There is very little to complain about, so I will complain only about the little stuff. Your studs better be within about 3/4 inch of 16 inch center, however there is no need for them to be centered at (what will be) the center of the TV. There is plenty of side-to-side adjustment. My biggest complaint is the manual; it is horrible. Make sure you download the latest from their website, it is a tiny bit better, but still severely lacking. The manual is written in 27 different languages, so each instruction is only one line, with almost no explanations. They really need an English-only-manual with better explanation. They provide so much variety of hardware that you will have a nice collection of leftover parts and tools to add to your toolbox when done. You will need a long-handle metric socket set with 17mm socket in order to install the 6 lag bolts (and some muscle!) Overall, this is a great mount at a great price.

Well made, high quality mount 2008-06-13
I was nervous about spending almost $300 on this mount(yep, the prices fluctuate a lot, and I really got a good deal!). In the retail outlets, it's nearly $600. But I wanted a high quality mount to hang my Sony 46XBR4. I was really impressed with the sturdiness of the entire device, the quality of the fittings, decorative covers and vast number of TV's it can support. Instructions are good, kind of sparse, but are very pictorial and support dozens of languages. If I had to buy another one, I'd buy this.

Excellent product with clear yes clear instructions and ever imaginable combination of bolt etc you could need. Normally I am skeptical of products like this but this does a great job and is worth the price.

This is a very well made mount.
I could not believe how easy it was to install. Be sure to download the instructions from the sellers web site. The printed manual is missing the page that suggests you to remove the arms to make mounting easier.
I also purchased the speaker mounts that were made for the XP.
Very Simple to use and install 2008-05-13
If you are considering this mount, then you should buy it. It works exactly like you think. In, out, left, right, tilt forward, back... yep.
I weight 200 lbs, and I extended the mount to the full 28" extension and it held me just fine. I am using a 52" LCD that weighs 97 lbs, so it's great.
Installation is very easy. I don't know how people could spend more than maybe 30 minutes doing this. You just drill 6 pilot holes for the lag bolts into the studs, which need to be 16" on center, which any standard home is. Then, you mount the back plate to the wall. If you hit your studs right, you've done the hard part. Then you just screw in the cantilever arm and that part is done. Put the bracket on the back of your TV, and then you just hang it on the arm and tighten the bolts.
It's extremely simple and easy to do. This is a top-shelf product.
