My bowflex

Hello, this bowflex is fantastic. A great price. It really takes up very little room in the home, it all folds up into a small area. It's easy to unfold and use, the weights are strong and simple, no hard work required in changing them. There's so many different ways you can use it that I'm still coming up with ideas. I really enjoy it. Wasn't too hard to assemble. Great job :)

Easy to set up for each workout. Each workout is pretty simple to do. I've only had it for about two weeks so I can't give a complete review but so far I am getting a great workout so I am very happy. Great investment.

I was originally planning to buy this Bowflex locally from the local Sports Store. Their prices were $50.00 to $100 higher than Amazon's price and their online retailers. The sales people who was trying to assist me would not match the prices and to my disappointment they had nothing in stock claiming that this was a clearance item. When I got home from the local store, I found this on Amazon's web site with the lowest price I can find anywhere along with free shipping was a good buying point.

This item was a little delayed in shipping, not the fault of Amazon. The manufacture claimed there was a big demand for this model and they had trouble keeping up with the orders. My shipment was delayed by a week and a half. So what, it was worth the wait since I was getting a good deal and free shipping. It was shipped by freight and the package was in excellent condition and it was shipped with care.

Assembling this was a cake walk. It only took me about 90 minutes because I was taking my time. All the parts were there nothing was missing. The assembly instructions were easy to read and understand.

Using this Bowflex makes me feel great after each workout. I started noticing some minor changes/results on my body because I been following not only the Bowflex exercise, but the Bowflex diet as well. Bowflex uses a diet that involves a lot of water drinking and the meal diet is not as strict as weight watchers or South Beach Diet plan. You don't have to go by Bowflex's eating plan but you can follow SBD or WW meal plan or you can even create your own meal plan as long as you keep track of the calories, fat and carb. I lost 10 pounds during my first week and 3 pounds my 2nd week going onto my third week now.

Motivator 2 is a good machine, relatively easy to assemble and easy to change from exercise to exercise. The manual, however, is not as complete as it could be for the exercises. In fact, two of those listed in the weight loss program are not illustrated nor described. A call to the company help line resulted in immedaite response and e-mail attachment photos and information for the missing exercises. Company help was excellent. It needs to ship with a DVD illustrating the exercises and a quick overview for assembly. Because this is a basic or entry level machine, it may not get the full treatement by the manufucturer.

Great piece of exercise equipment

I am very impressed with the Bowflex Motivator 2. All of the components are made of very durable materials and the process of putting it together was easy. Allow a couple of hours though since it does have a lot of things that require assembly. Using the Bowflex is a very enjoyable experience. The bow action and pulleys work smoothly and don't make a sound. It comes with a book of over 50 different exercises and an eating program. I can't say yet how it will age over time but I am very pleased with this purchase.

Great for the Price

I am 6'4" tall and it is not long enough for me while lying down, but it is effective and a great price for what you get. If having a compact machine is your priority I highly reccomend it. If you want the best of everything and compactness is not a major concern you should upgrade to another machine.

Great Device for Home Exercise

I bought this unit after some nasty health problems. I wasn't sure if I'd ever get back to the physical condition I was in before, but now I'm working to go beyond where I was. Having this unit in my home saves valuable time compared to going to a gym. The workouts are very effective. I don't think you can buy a better exercise device for the price.

Bowflex Motivator 2

I bought this unit for therapy after undergoing open heart surgery and it has worked out great. My doctor said I need to excercise. I used to work out benching 250-300lbs. but that was a long time ago. Well the assembly took roughly one hour and I took my time. I think it was a great buy. Originally this unit went for $1,000-$1,200.00, I picked it up for $599.00 including shipping and no taxes what a buy. You may want to opt. for a more expensive unit if your looking for serious weight gain. I bought the bowflex on advice from my doctor. He said a weight bench and heavy weights was not the way to go as he suggested a more controled and smooth operation. I would reccommend this set up to anyone looking to tone and not for strenuous training.

This machine is sturdy, sets up easily, slides away into a corner when folded up, and only takes a 2-3 minutes to set up from folded position. So much easier than going to the gym. I'm no body builder so this machine is just what I needed.
