Absolutely love it!! 2008-05-10
I have tried many treadmills in my life and by far this is the best so far!

It has the feel of a professional one just like the ones you'd expect to find at big house gyms.

I'm a bigger guy (6 foot 5 inches) and I feel very comfortable running, walking, or just jogging on this machine.

It is a very heavy machine, so as recommended by a lot of people, you need at least two to three people to help move it. Put it together where you decide to keep it for a long time! Unless you are just moving it around the room it does have wheels which help ease the process some.

Overall, I am loving my Bowflex Treadmill and would highly recommended it!!

Solidly constructed, long running deck, easy to fold up but heavy and bulky to move. Control panel display easy to read and program. It seems to have plenty of motor power and runs quietly.

Sturdy, simple, easy to fix. 2008-04-23
Bought the Series 7 a few months ago and have been using regularly since then. As some other reviewers noted, it's really heavy (prob about 300 lbs) so make sure you have an area cleared for it already (you can make some minor adjustments sliding it on its cardboard box).

The delivery and set up was smooth (30 bolts attached using allen key/screwdriver which was included). Mine was delivered with a speed sensor that was out of wack and caused an L-5/L-6 error. Using a pair of pliers and a small phillips screwdriver, I adjusted the speed sensor (like on a bike computer's speed sensor), but it was just bad. The company sent one right out and now it works beautifully.

The only caveat is the floor must be perfectly flat where the back of the treadmill will sit. I have mine in the garage and one wheel is the tiniest bit off the ground and causes a banging when I run on it. So I wedged some cardboard under there and it's fine.

I only run 8-10 minute mile pace on it, it seems a bit narrow when I'm going much faster (and the built in fan is great!).

Well Made Machine 2008-04-20
I have used this treadmill for a little over three weeks and am very impressed with how well it is made and how easy it is to use.

Please note all of the other cautions about how heavy it is, they are all true! Required less than an hour to assemble. Shipping was faster than promised. (1 week)

NOT a boring treadmill... 2008-04-18
I was afraid that if I got this treadmill the initial excitement would wear off and I'd get bored with it. Not so. It has a variety of programs that keep each of my workouts challenging. For a female that is over 200lbs and now getting back into exercise has been the best thing to get me motivated to start activity in my own time and space. It is a very sturdy treadmill so you feel you can move on it and not break it like some other cheaper non-gym quality treadmills out there. My husband who is 6'2 and very athletic is also making the most of our treadmill. We are now branching out and doing even more activity since we bought this machine. Love it!

BTW, love the heart rate monitor that comes with it for free. Fantastic.

Solid build and performance for the price. 2008-06-24
I put a lot of time into researching treadmills and their relative cost because my room mates and my girlfriend all felt I was crazy in the first place for considering one on my budget.

I knew the treadmills at hotels & gyms had spoiled me, because I had no interest in a flimsy model that offered little support and lackluster features. I also knew there was no way I could afford a $3,000 gym caliber treadmill. I felt this was the best compromise and I have not been disappointed with my decision.

The delivery was prompt, but it went no further than the bottom of the outside stairs to my 2nd floor apartment. Thanks to previous reviewers, I expected this. I can tell you that I weigh 160 lbs. and my room mate is about 210 lbs. We're both 26 and carrying this behemoth up a very steep and angled flight of stairs between us was nothing short of miraculous. It cost him a severely bruised big toe. I would recommend no fewer than 3 healthy and reasonably strong individuals to attempt this.

We have neighbors below us, and hardwood floors, so noise and protection was a concern. I had purchased a "heavy duty" extra long mat which helped protect the floor, but was not enough to muffle the inevitable thumping sound. I purchased an additional set of interlocking foam gym floor pieces that I placed over the mat and I found the two together made it as sound proof as we could manage within reason.

Assembly is never fun, and this was no exception, but given the size of the item, it was relatively painless. Thankfully, one of my room mates is an engineer, so between the both of us we managed it in under an hour.

I have had the treadmill for a few months now and I am very pleased with its overall performance. It is relatively quiet compared to some of the other models I have used. The range of features meets and exceeds my needs. I have not noticed the general knee/ankle discomfort that can come with a worn/low quality treadmill so far. I generally run 3 miles 3 times a week. The display is a bit illogical in some regards, but having to wait a few seconds for the distance to show up again in the cycle of calories, time, and pace is hardly a make or break point for me. The fan is underpowered and close to useless, but I do feel a slight breeze and I suppose I probably would not want a powerful fan blowing in my face the whole time I ran anyway.

That it is able to fold up quite easily and still feel as solid as a gym model is a testament to its construction. The flaws are minor and the performance is a deal at this price in my opinion.

Pleased with the Bowflex Series 7 2008-05-31
We purchased the Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill to help us with our exercise routines. We did lots of research, and this one rated very highly. We have not been disapointed with our purchase. Between my wife and I, we use it to run about 5 miles a day, and have lots of great things to say. It is solid and doesn't move around. The motor is very strong, and doesn't even flinch when I use it (at 205 lbs). The instant speed and incline buttons are great! The width and length of the belt are fantastic, and even at 6'4", have never felt like I was running off the end of the belt.

The down sides (which are minor, but worth noting) include the following: If you change your program in the middle, there is no way to back out without turning off the machine. If you are tall, you can't see the display that shows where you are on the digital "track". The pre-programmed speeds may not be for everyone. For instance, in program 4 (Fat Burn), the "jog" speed is 4 MPH, which is too slow for a run, but too fast for a comfortable walk. The "run" speed is 5, which could probably be a little faster. The fan is a good thought, but underwhelms you. The machine is big and heavy - so, unless you are really comfortable "hefting" things around, you might want to pay to have the machine delivered to its final location.

Delivery occured in about 7 days. They called the day before to arrange a delivery time, and actually showed up at that time.

All things considered, I would rate the machine and our purchase experience an "A".

Don't Buy this treadmill 2008-05-28
I replaced my old treadmill with the series 7, what a mistake. The customer service is non-responsive to your needs. The machine is in my den collecting dust and I am now using my old treadmill. If you want a treadmill buy one from a local dealer that will service and support the treadmill. Save yourself a major headache, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

Yo'

Rocky wish he had this tread mill!

Maybe he could have worked out some of that bad acting out of his system.

Library quiet, smooth as a bambina's thigh.

Run like an Italian Stallion on this trainer.

Bowflex Series 7 service delivery (or lack thereof) 2008-05-23
I like the treadmill but it is not as user friendly as implied in some of the reviews. To make any change you have to get out of the program and restart. It is also hard to read the settings scrolling across the front. It can freeze if you try changing speeds or heights too quickly.
However, the most disappointing element of buying the treadmill was the delivery. Nowhere did it say that it was "curb side delivery". And this is exactly what the shipper meant. I had to find someone to get it from the curb to my town house and to bring it up the stairs to my house. By the time I paid for the extra service I could have gone with a treadmill in a store and had it delivered and assembled for me. Lesson learned... beware of what you order when the equipment is heavy or large or not shipped directly from Amazon. Amazon also needs to update its shipping site to clarify different delivery options (if any are available). When I contacted Amazon I received the following answer: "The shipper will bring the package to your address, and take it off the truck, but it will be your responsibility to bring the item inside." I was told if I cancelled the order at that point I would have to pay a shipping and restocking fee.
