Replacement blood preasure machine

Not satified with new model, I fell older model was more responsive,had better features, simpler to store cuff. Only replaced it because of usb connection broke internally (same type on newer model)

Microlife Monitor

I studied all of the reviews before settling on this one. The people commenting on problems with the USB connection are right. I had a little trouble connecting the tiny plug to the monitor. I have left it attached and so haven't had that problem since.

Other than that its a great product and I'm glad I bought it.

Best BP monitor ever owned

I have owned about 5 bp monitors in the last 10 years and this one is the best. It is very quiet and certified to be accurate. Being able to download the history to my pc is the best feature, You can print a report and bring it with to your Dr. The usb connector is tiny and takes a little care to plug in but it is workable.

We had high hopes when purchasing this bp monitor, after reading the reviews. However, it has been a big dissappointment. It is reading 25 points higher on the upper number. We took it to two different doctor's offices and had the same results. It seems to be irratic, too. We will be returning it. It's great! I have no trouble with either the design of the instrument, the quality of its manufacture or with using the monitor -- including installing the software which downloads the data and prints really neat graphs of blood pressure over time. You can even choose whether to print all the readings or just the high or low readings. And it's so nice not to have to get out a little book and write the readings down every day -- I think that was making me stressed! I can even not bother to look at the readings right away if I want because they're saved in the machine. Wonderful! I bought a generic plug in power supply for it from Radio Shack. It works well too.

2 years of use and still going strong

I have been using this monitor for 2 years and still use it daily. I have it checked at my Drs. office (his recommendation) every 6 months and it's always accurate - his nurse uses this on one arm and does the manual one on other at same time. I love being able to download the readings and print a report to take to the Dr - it's quick and easy and he doesn't have to read my handwriting (much better than his is!). I highly recommend it. I did have to replace my large cuff a few months ago - left it on the end table and my puppy chewed a hole in the tubing. If you get one and have pets, put it up where they can't get to it!! :)

I learned the hard way that the software will only work if your C: drive is your system partition. If not, it will fail when you start it up. Unfortunately, unlike more than 99% of the software available for PCs, this software won't let you choose where to install it; instead, it automatically installs itself on your system partition.

While this won't be an issue for most home PC users, it was for me. Hopefully this review will help others who have the same problem.

Nice BP Meter, Software Need Work

The meter is very nice and seems reliable. The software is ok but lacks some features. There's no way to input readings taken manually using another meter. You can only import this unit's patient files. You can export to CSV, but you can't import a CSV. Installing on a Vista system was problematic.

Very accurate machine with Windows Vista Software

I recently changed my blood pressure medicine and was asked by my doctor to take and record my blood pressure readings twice a day for an extended period. I looked at several BP monitors that came with software to set up patient profiles and allow for graphing and printing results.
I found the Microlife was the only unit that offered Windows Vista compatible software/downloads for my operating system. Upon receiving the monitor I went to Microlife's website and downloaded the applicable Windows Vista English software and now have set up two patients with the capability of graphing daily results and printing a complete table of readings. I also took the unit to my doctors office and found the varation/deviation to be less than 1% from their readings which is more than acceptable to my Doctor. I can also transmit the results directly to my Doctor's email address or FAX hard copy.
This is a great procduct and I would recommend it to anyone that requires daily/weekly/monthly blood pressure maintenance. I also purchased one of Microlife's small and compact premium wrist monitors which uses the same software and can easily be transported for trips and vacations.

This product replaced an older BP monitor. This one is much easier to use than previous model. The auto. cuff inflation is great. Large display makes numbers easy to use. Downloading the saved readings to your PC is easy and fast. The included software allows you to print your results in either tabular for or graphic form. I took copies of everything to my doctor to look at. He was not impressed - asked that I just bring the tabular results.
