Good one!!

I was apprehensive when I was ordering it, but it works very well. I have been using it since last 1 month for a 1 bedroom, hall apartment and the signal is very good everywhere. Also, the installation is very easy, no issues at all. The installation guide and CD do their job very well!!
Works great, takes patience to set up

I bought this router as an inexpensive replacement for a router that quit on me. It works great. The setup was a little more tedious and time consuming than expected, but I was able to work through it. Works as well as some routers double the cost.
Works as advertised

It's a wireless router. It's cheap, it works, it routes. Never could notice a difference in speeds when on wireless versus wired straight in, so I'd have to say it works great. No frills, but excellent if you don't need frills.
One thing you MUST know, however, is if you have technical know-how, do NOT use the "easy set-up CD". Just go into the router's firmware yourself (HTTP into 192.168.1.1 when wired to it) and you'll find all the settings you need. The CD is meant for people who don't know how to set up a router. I tossed the CD and set it up manually.
GOOD ROUTER FOR THE EXCELLENT PRICE...

The 54Mbps Wireless G Router offers a complete wireless solution that allows you to share files, an Internet connection, or network resource while protecting your network using enhanced security features. Simply plug your workstations and your broadband modem into the Wireless G router, and configure your broadband connection using its built-in Web Interface. Use the Virtual Server feature to configure any workstation as a Web Server or FTP server easily, allowing users to view files from the Internet. You can also protect your Wireless LAN using 64/128-bit WEP encryption or industry standard WPA-PSK with TKIP or AES algorithms. Increase security by enabling MAC, IP, or Protocol Filtering as well as setting Firewall Rules to limit Internet Access or block malicious intruders from accessing your network.
Why buy any other

When it comes to wireless routers you should buy the cheapest. There is a higher speed in the market now but Wireless G speed much much more than anyone need at home. Its 54Mbps, which is 10 times faster than your DSL modem can deliver so a higher wireless speed network won't help you in anyway (Except if you are transfering huge files within your home or something like that, still 54Mbps is very high. Till recently I had 10Mbps router connecting 3 to 4 computers at home without any problems). This is very easy to setup too, just buy it.
Wireless routers are apparently not all the same...

Having used wireless routers for several years, we thought they would be commoditized when we went to buy a new one about a year ago, and so bought the cheapest one (this Trendnet). I think we continue to use it to network two laptops to the internet just to see how much frustration we can take. Our laptops work fine when on campus and at friends' houses, but at home the wireless frequently drops even when in the same room as the router, and every 2-4 days, the wireless will totally cease to work, not allowing any wireless connectivity whatsoever until the router is rebooted.
Might have gotten a poor model. Wired connectivity works as expected, so not 1 star.
(The wireless just dropped in the time it took me to write this review. "Repaired" the connection in WinXP in order to post. I think we're going to get a Linksys WRT router very, very soon.)
Awful, awful router
2008-05-16
If it were free this router would be overpriced. The signal is weak. It frequently locks up. It can't consistently fiqure out the current time. The management console is horrible. As my laptop would be turned off and on it wouldn't be allowed to reconnect to the router until I restarted the router. Almost impossible to get good connection speeds unless you are sitting right in front of it.
The worst "bargain deal" I ever got. I've since replaced it with a D-Link MIMO router and it just works. With the trendnet roututer I was constantly forced to go to the router and pull the plug to restart it.
Avoid it.
Very, Very Pleased!

I always heard that wireless routers were tricky to set up but this product was fairly easy to install (and I'm not a techie). Most importantly, it works really well. I get a strong signal throughout my apartment. I definitely recommend this router to anyone looking for an wireless connection. Also, you can't beat the price--$29.99 less a $20 rebate, brought the cost down to just $9.99.
