I am always happy to buy any of THE SIMS games from amazon. I am on a MAC they are not easy to find in a store but you can always find them here. I own all the SIMS 2 expansions and single stories, it is my favorite game for the computer, this one is awesome you get elevators and you go to college, you can make a frat house, go to the campus get a cell phone, a mp3 player, really really a fun game then they all are!
Does it work on intel based macs?

I love the sims 2 even though I only have one expansion pack which is PETS. I want to get university horribly bad but on he cover it doesent have the little universal ensignia on it, unlike some of the other expnsions such as PETS, OPEN FOR BUSINESS, and SEASONS. that ensignia means that the game works on intel chip based macs. So yet this problem leaves me sitting like a hopeless computer idot. please comment back!!

I must say this game is extremely addicting...and after selling my pc and getting myself a macbook I will have to say I don't regret it at all!! it runs smooth and fast!
Awesome!

This game is amazing, and it works perfectly on my MacBook. Not only are the graphics up to par, but the loading time... wait, what am I talking about? There is barely any loading time! I went to go get some cereal, and when I got back, it was already sitting there, just waiting to be played!
Also, I'm one of those players who go and download re-colors and other objects that fans make for the game, and I've added a lot so far, but the game still works perfecty.
Basically, this is what consumes most of my 24 hours! :D
It keeps getting better

This is an excellent game, and each expansion pack offers more and more possibility. In all honesty, after getting The Sims 2 Open For Business, I don't spend a lot of time in the University town, but it's well worth the additional options opened up.
I particularly enjoy the added want and want lock options that open up as your sim progresses through the semesters. This, just like real college, is why I suggest having getting/having this expansion pack, even if you don't spend a lot of time playing the university itself. The benefits will last a lifetime!
Enjoy!
just a way to make more money faster and have more aspirations

Watch as they enjoy their newfound freedom -- they'll party with friends, join fraternities and sororities and pull outrageous pranks. Help them fulfill new lifetime goals to unlock more rewards and reap all of the benefits of their university years.

I was skeptical about buying Sims 2-University at first, because of its price. I read a couple of reviews about the game, and they all liked it. I thought, "Hey, why not?" So I started playing it at my friends house, and I got hooked! I just couldn't stop playing! College life is so fun on the Sims 2- University. It adds an extra 24 days to your sim's life span (Young Adult), giving you a chance to build up skill points and relationships with other sims. Also, if your sim graduates, you unlock 2 more wants, and 4 new diploma-only jobs! They pay MUCH better at first than regular jobs. All in all, it was great! I'm saving up to buy it, and can't wait until I have enough to buy it!
My kids are addicted to SIMS2

Well, I can't get them to the dinner table, or to the homework table, or to clean their rooms, or help with the chores because they are always playing the SIMS2 on our mac computer. So if that's any indication of how much they love the game....
worth it

so, i go through phases with the Sims. the advent of Sims 2 pulled me in yet again, and i finally splurged for University. have to say, it was worth it.
you can pull teenage sims from your main game and send them to college, or you can develop your own sims in the university mode. you can build your own university, you have an "influence" meter that encourages you to develop your sim's social skills in order to exert more influence over others, and (while never enough) the new objects/building add-ons are fun.
hardware-wise, i'm running on a iMac G5, and the game (while slow-ish to load) runs perfectly. as usual, though, when in a community lot the game tends to be a bit sluggish.
