Editorial Review
The new Travelite V series binoculars incorporate several new features designed to make them more user friendly while enhancing optical performance.Nikon Travelite V binoculars utilize precision ground, multicoated optics, and high index BaK4 prisms for true color rendition, maximum sharpness and enhanced light transmission. The new binoculars use aspherical eyepiece lenses which provide a very flat viewing field and offer markedly improved edge-to-edge sharpness over many conventional lenses. The new Travelite V features large, conveniently located central focus knobs and clicking diopters. Each model in the series features 25mm objective lenses for maximum light gathering.A new, ergonomically contoured, carbon-fiber body makes the Travelite V easy to use for long viewing sessions without physical fatigue. The lightweight body incases a rugged all-metal chassis and is covered with a durable black rubber armor that provides added shock resistance and a positive grip in slippery conditions.

These are perfect 2007-03-12
My wife wanted a good pair of binoculars but didn't want the weight or look of a military type. These are great. They are small light and powerful.

Compact binoculars 2008-07-24
Great image quality, sturdy; medium low light sensitivity as would be predicted by objective lens diameter; great compact binos

Nikon Travelite 10X25 2008-06-27
I bought a pair of these as a gift for friends who retired and were heading to Alaska on a cruise. They were thrilled to get them. All of us were surprised at the compactness and size. They are perfect for travel! The quality is Nikon and I am sure that this pair will see many years of service. I will be purchasing a pair of my own in the future.

Fantastic binoculars for birders 2008-04-28
I am extremely impressed with the Nikon Travelite 10 x25 binoculars. I am a professionl environmental scientist working for an international engineering consulting firm and my work requires long days in the field. Purchasing these binocs was an excellent decision due to their light weight and clear optics. After many years of using different types of binoculars, these have been by far the best ones. I spent an entire week looking for listed bird species at an Air Force base in Florida and several times my colleagues would ask to borrow it...I think this says it all!

Great set of binoculars for the price 2008-04-06
I had purchased a similiar Nikon pair years ago and decided to it would be nice to have a second compact pair for the family. I have been so impressed with Nikon's optics in the past and the same holds true for today. They are an excellant buy for the money, easy to carry and light. Highly recommend for traveling, we used ours to see performers on stage better, but also for scenery.

What I Wanted 2008-02-25
These are just what I wanted, small, lightweight, and quality. I plan to go hiking this spring and wanted something I could put on my belt. I have had larger binoculars and after a while they get heavy and in the way. The body has a rubber coating which feels nice in your hands. There is nothing misleading about the name, Nikon Travelite 10x25 V Rubber Armored Binocular.

Review: ... "Click! The No Nonsense Guide to Digital Cameras" is misnamed. It covers a lot more than just cameras. In a couple of hundred pages, it includes using a scanner and Adobe Photoshop Elements 2 to rescue faded, damaged family photos, the basic guidelines to good picture taking, how to use Elements 2 to improve your digital photos, and how to print and preserve your pictures for the ages. White, the author of the bestseller "How Computers Work," knows how to pack a lot of helpful, understandable information in a brief no nonsense book.

Review: "This Camera is one of the best in its price range. It takes beautiful clear pictures and can be used right out of the box, but its worth learning all its features. The included memory holds about 20-25 pictures so I upgraded to 128mb. I reccomend getting a 128mb card and the Sony camera case. Not only is this one of the best cameras in its class it includes decent software and rechargeable batteries that are at least a 20$ value.
HIGHLY reccomend over canon, kodak, and fuji. One more thing this camera has CARL Zeiss lens (if you dont know, great lens) all the competetors have generic lens."

From the Back Cover The megapixel hype
The fact is a camera’s megapixel rating is only a measure of how many pixels (photosensitive sites) an image sensor has…. An image sensor is simply one component of an entire system that produces a digital photograph… So resist buying into the megapixel hype when you’re choosing a digital camera. From Chapter 1
