Great for its size and price

From the famous folks who make speakers for computers, this little docking station is surprising good. Altec Lansing seems to know how to get good sound out of small packages and this is another example. And best of all, it is very reasonably priced.

And what a great price! Even with the high shipping cost, it's one of the best things I've purchased.
I use this at work on my desk. The sound is great and I love being able to listen to satellite radio all day (makes the subscription price even more worth it). There's a window in the office so the antenna can sit on the south-facing windowsill providing perfect reception. Fortunately my office-mate likes the same kind of music!

This is the third I buy of these little gems, I have one for the office, the basement and now one for outside, I intend to purchase more at this price I intend to have one in all rooms of the house.
The sound is great for personal use, I would not use it for a party with many people as the sound would not be loud enough.

This is the second one of these that I have purchased. The first was for a second home, and this one for the garage, so I can use it while doing woodworking. The price is terrific now, a lot less than the first one I purchased. The sound quality is fine -- not terrific for music, but perfectly adequate for the garage. It is compact, and the included antenna means I don't have to unhook the setup I have in my bedroom, where the docking stand that came with the unit is.

I'm quite happy with this purchase. The speakers aren't going to blow anyone away, but they do the job nicely for background music while I work. It is a gem of an add-on for my MyFi unit....and for peanuts.

Bought this together with the In Motion iMX2 system for just under $35 with shipping. Overall, I am very happy with the sound quality. This item works perfectly with my XM MyFi receiver. For this price, I might have to buy another one! Can't wait to set this up in my office at work.
Decent unit if you get one that works 2008-02-11
I had to return the first unit that I received because it was defective. I received a new replacement after the first one was returned. The sound quality was good for a small unit. It's a good unit for a small room. Don't expect monster sound or huge Bass response.
One important thing....Even after I left the unit on with the radio in the dock to charge, it began to buzz. After restarting it, it played OK. I wouldn't use the unit to charge the radio if you use the MyFi as a walkman. The unit should play well as long as you dock the unit when you play it and not leave the radio to charge in the dock.
