Whats not to like?

I had to remove a 52 inch fan to install this one. This fan fits the room better(10 X 10). It looks very classy for the price. I have no unwanted noise. But personally I like a little white noise. My alarm clock has about 6 different background noises. The fan is so quiet I may still have to use the sound machine. As for the lights they have the small sockets. They are kind of like Christmas light size. With a max of 60 watt. Since I installed the light in the bedroom I don't need max brightness. And if I am right I could get some cool colors, you know to spice up my........

Nice looking, but noisy!

We loved the looks and price of this fan. However, after putting one of them up, the sound is really bad. It sounds something is getting ready to take off in the middle of your bedroom! We returned the fans to amazon.

Great Ceiling Fan For The Price

I don't understand why some buyers are complaining about light bulbs. This fans will look ridiculoous with regular bulbs. Actually, the candelabra base give them a nicer and fancier appearance. obviously this fan not only has the looks of a much fancier ceiling fan but it is also stable and has a great price. I was looking for ceiling fans at Home Depot and Lowe's and they are twice(or more)as much and not as fancy looking. Next time go to home Depot and pay $90 for less quality or 200 or more for a fancy one, but for $39.99 this item is a steal. I bought 3 of them, one 52" and 2 of 42".

Now, about the noise.... READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! My 42" fans don't make any noise but the 52" was making a little bit of noise but according to the instructions(page 16, #5)you have to allow a 24 hour "break in" and most noises disappear after that.
I installed mine yesterday (late)afternoon and a few minutes later was making a sound. I let the fan on all night and this morning I noticed that the noise had been considerably reduce(although it hasn't been 24 hours yet). Even so, it is not bothersome or annoying.
Nevertheless, you can always return the item for a refund. At this price and with such obvious quality I can't find anything to complain about.

UPDATE: I have to come back to add that when the electrician return the next day and notice the noise he fix it. Maybe something was lose inside or a wire hitting something. I didn't bother to ask, the 52" didn't make any noise after that.
Like I mentioned before I bought three of these fans and none of them is making any noise or have any vibration. Proper installation is the key to product enjoyment. These fans look and work like fancier fans. Besides, when it comes to electrical items you should always hire someone with experience otherwise you might end up with a noisy unit due to inproper installation even if you think you have follow instructions to the letter. Besides, these items are installed in the ceiling and if they are making any noise, which they are not suppose to, it could be a hazard to you and your family.
By the way.... Can you imagine this lighted fan using anything but candelabra lights?? Picture it! Yikes!

Innacurate description

I ordered one and when it arrived, the lights were candelabra base. Customer service had another shipped to me and it was the same. Do not buy this if you want standard base bulbs. I asked customer service to have the description fixed and they said they couldn't, but they did confirm that none of the fans came with standard base bulbs.

This fan looked good enough but it sounded like it had loose marbles inside it when it was on low speed. I returned it.

Not as Advertised

I ordered this because Amazon wrote up it required 3 standard base bulbs ... which was exactly what I needed.

When I received it, the bulb size was not standard as written, but was actually candelabra size.

If Amazon doesn't change the item description, you should be aware of that.

The only complaint I have about this fan is that the little stringys that come down to turn either the fan or the light on are super cheapy looking. I suppose it would not be hard to get new "pully thingy's" for it, but just a haslte I guess. no biggy. Great other than that. Puts out lots of light!

I looked all over for a nickle finish ceiling fan with dark wood
colored blades. I went to several home improvement stores, but could
not find one.
This fan that I purchased on Amazon.com is beautiful, works well,
and wasa great value. It is perfect for my kitchen.
