Better choices are available for the money

I have been on a buying binge to find the right noise-canceling headphones. Sennheiser's PXC-250 sounded okay but the noise canceling was totally ineffective. Audiotechnica ANC7's audio quality and noise canceling were great but they leakage was such that you would share whatever you were listening to with whoever was within 25 yards of you. I returned both and tried the Logitechs after doing much research. The phones are comfortable and the passive noise cancellation works well, but the active noise canceling is nothing to write home about. The audio quality is mediocre at best. All in all, they aren't terrible, but they are way overpriced for what you are getting. At any rate I ended up with the Panasonic RP-HC500s and so far I'm very happy with them.
Excellent buy

I have now tried four different brands except for Bose, and these receive the highest marks. They are comfortable for extended periods, unlike the on-the-ear style. The price is MUCH more reasonable than Bose. The sound quality is not excellent, but I would consider very good. Good design with a replace-able cord from any electronic's store. I have not had any problems, and use them about every two weeks on flights. I would strongly recommend the product.
ir broke very easily but had great sound

it sounded and functioned great until it broke at the same weak spot others have mentioned.... the right ear piece swivel point.... I only used it about 8 times before it broke...
WOW - Great Headphones.

I love these headphones. I have used them on 4 flights and they are awesome. While I was sitting in the back of the plane (by the engine) I hooked these up to listen to my MP3 player and I barely noticed the engine noise and my music was crystal clear! When Not flying I use them in my den to watch TV late at night - the noise cancellation works fine there too. Occasionally (seldom) a little static is heard from nearby PDA's, cellphonese and the like - but otherwise they are WONDERFUL. When you compare the price of these to the more expensive models (BOSE) they are an AWESOME buy!!!
Broke in under 2 months

One of the ear pieces broke of the band in less than two months. Very unhappy since these weren't cheap!
Good Sound Poor Construction

I've been enjoying these headsets for a couple of months. The sound quality is very good the battery lasts a long time and the thoughtful carrying case is perfect for my complete traveling audio needs. They seem to perform almost as well as my *very* expensive headsets I use when flying.
One day an ear piece broke off somehow (I don't know how) and on examination, I found that the swiveling attachment point is a very small and lightly built piece of hollow plastic trough which the wires pass. I glued it all back together and the earphones still work well, however they will no longer fit in that nifty case. Too bad.
Buyer Beware...

I had these for 6 months and they worked well BUT, the right speaker broke off. Since it was Logitech, I figured they'd stand behind their product but, after several emails it was sorta resolved. This is the feed back I got from Logitech's help desk...
"I have been informed by the Warranty/Replacement Department that the Noise Cancelling Headphones are refund only."
So BE CAREFUL if they break on you, you'll be paying shipping costs again.
Good value but didn't last long

I liked this headphone. I also have an Audio Technica ATH-ANC7 and the noise cancellation is very similar. The sound quality on the ANC7 is a lot better, with crisper highs and better spacial feeling, but it's also more than double the price. Being the cheaper one, I used the Logitech a lot more often, mainly because I use these a lot when gardening (I have loud neighbors, sigh, hence the headphones :P). I can't complain about the battery life or the construction strength. The only problem I had with it was noise on the right channel. It started after about 2 months of use, and with a little tap it would usually go away. Then it started getting worse, with static and loud pops (not good for your ears!). It finally broke down today, so I decided to review it to warn others. I still love them and will try to get them fixed (they're very comfortable), but they broke way too quickly (after only about 4 months of medium-light use). I'll use the ANC7 now and see how it stands up, and will try to get the Logitech fixed in warranty.

I used this headphone for only one trip. It broke at the earpiece where you rotate. It does not sit on my ear now and therefore it is useless.I did not read the reviews of moany oithers who experienced the same problem. After spending 75$ I feel cheated and would not recommend it to anyone.
How could Bose be better than these?

I had a pair of Radio Shack noise cancelling earphones I picked up for under 25 dollars. They were fine up to a point. Didn't fit over the ears completely so didn't cancel out all noise but got me by on flights o.k. and the sound was adequate but got a bit uncomfortable after an hours use. They have held up well for nearly 5 years.
When I heard about the Logitechs and favorable user opinions for the most part I decided to get them and have not been dissapointed.
They do a much better job on flights cancelling out most engine noise.
They are more comfortable than my Radio Shack phones and the base is very rich. I have had them now for over a year and they seem to hold up well.
Only thing I don't like. I wish they folded up into a smaller footprint like the Radio Shacks for travel. They will fold flat to fit in the case but unfortunately the case is sorta hefty and is not far from being as space consuming as a smaller notebook computer.
Otherwise these are great noise cancelling earphones if you don't want to go with the alledgedly superior but pricey Bose phones where a good chunk of your investmeent probably goes to their advertising budget.
Personally I don't see how these Logitechs could be improved upon unless they were offered free.
