Junk Cleaner

This product was horrible. Continued to fall apart when fit together. Was not easy to stabilize over drain sprout.

Does the job, but its not magic.

I have used it several times now and it does what it says, I should mention that when you have air moving through it it acts a little like a jet engine so its not as easy to use as it would seem. Its not rocket science but it does take a bit of effort to hold it in place when you have all the extentions attached and trying to hold a blower AND trying to keep it from blowing itself off the roof :) I still would have bought it but I am wiser now, you need a break after using it.

I bought this gutter cleaning item several years ago and it was a lifesaver in our situation. Copper gutters on a lake house w/ LOTS trees - not an easy solution to keep gutters from clogging up but this item saved us a ton of money had we had to call in the professionals to clean our gutters multiple times per fall. We attached it to a small, 2 speed electric blower (round opening is a must.) If you have to get out a ladder to reach upper level gutters (which we don't)at least it is light weight and not too unwieldy. I am buying one today for our son. Make sure you check out the shape of opening on your blower.

All my gutters are first floor height. I have used this 3 times this season already to clean out Tons of leaves. It is messy when they are wet, you really need to wear eye protection. I have paid $75 in past years for someone else to clean out the gutters. This is great and pays for itself that way!

Oh this is safer and quick

The rain gutter attachement has made gutter cleaning into a 10 minute effort. Takes more time to get the extension chord out and put up than to do the work. If using after rain then expect to get some smelly composted leaves on yourself, that's life. No ladders! safe walking and does an excellent job. Hard to find in the big stores.

Does not fit Ryobi or Black & Decker

The attachment to the blower unit did not fit either my Ryobi gas blower or my Black and Decker electric blower. I was able to make a temporary connection using duct tape to the electric blower for testing purposes. While it did blow the debris from the gutter it is somewhat clumsy to hold the vertical attachement during use. If possible you should attempt to confirm that the attachment fits your blower before buying it. I did see from other reviews that it did not fit a Toro either.

Simple and handy

I bought this to clear my 15ft high gutters. Easy to assemble and fit right into my Weedeater blower without issue. The glasses are great too as I got covered in debris!

Slight downside would have to be that I was using a ladder to clean out (being that the attachment is 10ft) and it does get a little top heavy sometimes, though hard work never scared me.

It's easy to put together - just read the instructions so you're putting the right bits in.

Not Worth the Money

While it was fairly simple to put together, using it is another story. It was very unstable once on the blower and the power on. I tried to steady it while the blower was on, but it is too hard to try and hold this contraption and the blower at the same time. I even tried to take off the extensions and use it on a ladder (effectively defeating the purpose of purchasing this), but that too proved too cumbersome. I would discourage others from buying this.

Nice accessory but you may need a blower that fits or be handy that way.

This is a great product because the sections screw together and will not come apart and fall on your head. This is especially important if you put two sets together for the second floor gutter. The button-held-oval blower fitting works really great for either one of the two Wead Eater-Poulan electric blowers with the button that weighs less than five pounds. Together with the attachment, weighs less than 10 pounds.

The bottom pipe section rotates but snaps together tightly and will not come apart. The same goes for the blower fittings (you get only two) that connect to that same elbow. The Weadeater-Poulan blower connects nice and snug but would be even nicer if they put the rocker switch up on/near your hand on the handle, where it would be easier to hold everything while you put it on/off. If you are handy like me, you can do this yourself some evening with crimper/blade connectors and shrink tubing or vinyl tape, and some precision plastic trimming with a knife and mini-hacksaw.

If gutters haven't been cleaned in a long long time, and the leaves are caked in solid, you may have to go up and scrape the gutters to the bottom, or try to do that with the blower endpiece from the ground, which may be more trouble than it's worth.
