iPod remote

This remote is the best. It works well in the car with the remote attached to the steering wheel. It is ideal for doing work around the house because it has a very long range. I have used it from different rooms and it is great. A great deal!!

I am quite pleased with my purchase of Airclick. I primarily use it in my car with the iPod connected to the car stereo through aux cable. The remote is very responsive. It even has a nice strap which I use to attach it to the steering. Now I don't have to take my eyes off the road anymore to change the song.
One gripe, this should have a bypass for charging the iPod

I bought this item since I use my ipod in my car a lot. It seems it is not compatible with the ipod Classic. Will have to return it, and get something else.

The remote functions well but the plastic is pretty flimsy. The clip on the remote broke off after only a few weeks of use. The receiver is too big to use on a Nano.
iPod Remote works well, but... 2007-03-31
This new Griffin AirClick remote works well, similar to the previous design which plugged into the top of the iPod. The problem with this one is that the bottom-mounted design uses up the iPod's dock connector, so no way to connect external power or car audio (except by the headphone jack.) AirClick needs to add a pass-through dock connector on the bottom of this new AirClick.

Disappointed 2007-02-27
I find that I hardly use this product. The holder clip broke almost immediately and the unit does seat well with my iSkin attached. When it is connected I wasn't happy with the performance. I hoped to use this when I mountain biked, but it just doesn't perform.

I haven't stopped using it since I got it. I needed it to plug to my home stereo and it works beautifully.
I plug it to portable speakers when taking a shower or take it to the pool on weekends without the risk of getting my ipod wet.
I agree that it would be much better with a through-connection so that it worked with the i-trip on the car.
It's ok, but needs a pass through connector.

I ended up buying another remote with a pass-through dock connector, because I realized I needed to have a charger, or a Sik Imp cable connected to the iPod while the remote was plugged in.
The remote itself works from about 150 feet away, and on different levels of the house.
I probably won't ever buy another one without the pass-through connector though.
perfect for my needs 2007-01-09
I needed a device to mount on the handlebars of my motorcycle and tuck the ipod securely in my pocket under my clothing for motorcycling. The device works perfectly - just as advertised - just as i needed - give it a grade of A+.
