I thought this was a good buy. The price was great because I like to buy the correct ink for my printer. I even bought a double black ink cartidge when they offer it, and I got a bit of a discount when buying them together.
NOT FOR MX 700

Need to have a boxed set dedicated for the Canon MX 700 since this black ink will not work and need the bigger size PGI-5BK. For the Canon MX 700 buy the three color set CLI-8 & buy the black separately.

These cartridges are easy to replace in the printer and give good print quality--I just wish they lasted longer! Amazon vendor has the best price I have been able to find for Canon branded replacement cartridges.

It's such a money-saver, not having to replace a color cartridge just because a certain color is empty!
These cartridges are good quality, with no drying out, leaking or streaking. It's much cheaper than buying them at the store ($39 on amazon right now). The catridges last quite awhile, and have two blinking indicators (slow and fast) telling you how much ink is left. And the sensors are surprisingly accurate (I tap them and use them again to get every last drop out, because they aren't cheap!)

After struggling for years with Epson inkjet printers and constantly dried up cartridges, I just got Pixma 4500 a couple months ago. This Canon system with 4 individual cartridges for color and 1 larger black pigment ink cartridge for text has worked perfectly every time for both heavy use printing lots of photos and light use with a couple weeks of sitting idle.
