Great buy! Good choice!

I'm using my transmitter with an IPod Mini in a 02 Kia Rio factory installed radio and so far so good. The price was good and so far the performance is excellent. There is some static in certain areas of the city (South Florida) but it's very minimal and if u have the volume up loud enough you can't even notice it. I would definitely recommend this FM transmitter.
Great product

I have had several other ones of these but I would like this one better. I have no problems with it and I live in europe. For those of you who have ever been over here you know what a hard time you find a frequency not being used by a radio station already. this one jams it unless it has a very strong signal. I also like the fact that the plug is small so it will fit anywhere.
Charge and Play

I love that this iTrip charges the iPod while you're listening and driving. When you need to leave and bring your iPod with you it has a full charge. The option to have stereo or mono is a great option. If you have a good signal (a lot of static on an FM channel) then the LX (stereo) option makes a huge difference. If you have a decent signal you might as well stick to the DX (mono) signal so you don't lose any sound quality. Another bonus is the backlit LCD, which is great when driving at night.
Excellent product

Arrived promptly as ordered. Read previous reviewed which suggested reducing treble on iPod. Product worked very well in two different cars including a trip from upstate NY to Ky with only a couple of station changes.
Recommend this product as well worth the money, worked as advertised.
Will wait to use it once I move to the suberbs

It was has a very verly low volume and in big cities, you don't even want to try it.
You have to change radio frequency almost every second,it's distracting and the radio noise is just unbearable. It gave me a headach every time a used it,so now I'll keep it if we ever decide on a road trip(if gas got cheaper) outside the big cities maybe it'll work.
If you live in a big city,DON'T BUY IT!!!!
Works well outside of the city
2008-07-24
This works well when you get outside of the city. In California it's kind of a hit or miss. I live in Sacramento and so if I use it while driving from Sacramento to the Bay Area it really doesn't work too well. There are just to many interfering stations to get a really clear channel. However if I head east or use it in less populated areas it seems to work just fine. If you live in a metro area you would probably want to spend the extra money and get a monster transmitter or something a little more powerful than the itrip. If you live in a rural state or area then it itrip should work fine.
It Works

I'm not to far from Chicago (about an hour or so) and I got to say, it works. Yeah, there's some static but it doesn't drown out the music. Yeah, you have to have the volume cranked up loud on your current system, but that's if you have music with low quality. Music downloaded straight from iTunes were lower than music I ripped from CDs (quality difference). This does not get you "bumping" down the block but its clean and loud enough for you and your passengers. Also, you might want to play with your system's EQ (equalizer) before using it on the road. The presets were right on que. 88.(whatever) is the best station to use it on around these areas.
Bottom line: It works. Just remember to lower the volume when you're about to turn it off.

It's easy to use, and it works perfectly. The sound quality is excellent, and even when there's a little interference the sound is still crystal clear.
Not bad

This really deserves more of a 3.5 star rating. It definitely gets the job done but it's not really all that impressive and sometimes there is static with some poorer sound quality but it still gets the job done in the end. Nothing beats a cassette converter though.
