Great nose an ear trimmer, but that's all...

This is probably the quickest and best nose and ear trimmer out there now. Also useful for shaping sideburns. But, it's not the "wonder clipper" they make it out to be. It doesn't cut super close. Using it on a larger area like the back of your neck would take forever and the results would be mediocre at best. It seems to be built better than the previous models and the similar model from Phillips / Norelco that people seem to like but it doesn't last long. That one is more honestly advertised as a very good nose and ear trimmer. I think this one would get better reviews if they were just a little more honest about what it is and what to expect of it. I bought two to save on shipping. None of these small trimmers seem to last forever...
Works very well, slightly better made 2008-02-29
I have owned 6-8 MicroTouch trimmers over several years. One thing about them is that they work better than anything else I have ever tried. I use them mostly for nose hair. Nothing else even comes close, and I have tried several.
The downside is that they are cheaply made. This one appears to be better-made than the others. The switch seems a bit stronger. That was a huge problem on the others. The little latch that holds the head on is only slightly better than the earlier models, which tended to come loose.
This one truly does have a lot more power. The thing is, power was never a problem. You are cutting hair - not mowing weeds. The extra power may help this model stall less - also a big problem with previous models. But it is noisier. Not so that it's a problem, but definitely noisier.
I have only had this a few days, so I can't say whether it will die an early death. Overall, it feels better made. I still can't give it 5 stars, but I am glad I bought it. I just realized that I gave the earlier model 4 stars. I was just so happy to finally find something that worked, that I overlooked how cheaply it was made. I should go rate that one down to 3 because this one is clearly one star better. I just can't make this one 5.
GREAT TRIMMER IF YOU HAVE ACNE

I just received my MicroTouch groomer. The reason I ordered it was because I have acne around my chin and above my top lip. Shaving with ordinary razors or big electric ones just irritated it more and was very painfull afterwards. MicroTouch groomer is excellent if you have acne but you still need to shave where the pimples are!!! Hopefully you will put this on your page for other people to see and experience having a close shave without the excrutiating pain afterwards from the acne. It works GREAT!!!! I am very very pleased. THANKS!!!
Microtouch Trimmer Groomer Couldn't Cut Hot Butter, Let Alone Hair!

The only thing the Microtouch Trimmer Groomer has managed to trim since purchase was the money from my account used to purchase the thing. Spend your money wisely, and look elsewhere!
Worked great for a year, then died

Plus: This is the best nose hair trimmer I've ever used. It gets everything very quickly, with others I had to go over and over the same areas to get it all.
Minus: It stopped working after about a year. I replaced the battery but it still didn't run.
Overall, I'd say that *IF* these things last a year on average, I'll just buy a new one every year, because it's worth ten bucks a year to me to have a really effective trimmer. Still, it's disappointing--they could raise the price five bucks and put better-quality parts into it so it wouldn't fail after a year.
Cheaply Made but I love it 2008-05-28
As everyone has said, this product is cheaply made. Unfortunately I have not been able to find a better made product that does what this product does.
I had the old version which was much weaker and always got stuck, but it still lasted me a year until I dropped it. Just got this one a few weeks ago and so far it seems much better.
Works great for nose hair, ear hair, and it's the best product I've tried for trimming your privates. Very Gentle. That's all I really use it for. I have a big trimmer for the rest.
I just ordered a couple extra's because I noticed they stopped carrying them at the wal-mart I usually go to, and I don't want to be stuck without one when mine fails.

Complete junk - dead out of the pack.
Didn't look like it would actually work, anyway. Flimsy design, flimsy head, plastic innards, flimsy on-off switch, etc.
According to the instructions, you have to include $6 to send it back 'under warranty', plus shipping costs = more than it costs...obviously, the warranty is a joke, and this company cares nothing about it's customers.
More China made junk which could only be sold with TV infomercials. They probably have more money in the colorful packaging than in the actual product.
Buy a $10-15 trimmer from a real company, and it'll last for years.
Works well 2008-04-18
It works fine, I like the light. Doesn't seem like the most durable trimmer in the world, but what else can you expect for the price?
A little shaver for little touchups 2008-03-31
This is a nice product for the money. The light is a big help. I found that if I use rechargeable batteries that the "extra life" is very useful. The blades on any of these lose their edge quickly so that touchups take a little longer each time but, still good with guard for staying trimmed and not bush hogged.
perfect nose hair trimmer 2008-03-12
It's not the sharpest, but it sure gets in there. Forget those tubular nose hair cutters with the fan blades inside a cylinder, this is the BEST for nose hairs. Hairs won't get trapped in the cylinder and get it stuck. This one, you do have to brush the hairs away from the blade though. No 5 star because it takes a few swipes to get some hairs since the blades aren't so sharp.
