I LOVE these earbuds 2008-10-06
These buds offer awesome sound quality. They are comfortable in the ear as they come with 3 different size inserts. Extremely affordable. My only complaint is the wires are somewhat flimsey so I've had to replace them a few times. Not a problem for me because of the low price. I use mine most every day for hours at a time. I HIGHLY recomend these.

Not too bad... 2008-09-26
I was very excited to receive these earbuds, but after trying them out I gave them away. I'm not a fan anymore of earbuds that go into your ear canal. They get dirty too quickly, can be uncomfortable and usually fall out very easily.

First off, they look nice. For the price you cannot go wrong as it comes with a nifty little case to put your earbuds in. What's nice too is the different sized earpieces that come with so you can match them to your ear size.

As for fit, even the smallest ones had a hard time staying in for me. They also were uncomfortable in my ears.

As for sound, better than iPod headphones for sure. The bass is deep but I had to push and hold the headphones to get the deepest bass effect. I also felt the sound was slightly muddy, so did my little brother.

Overall, not bad price. Try the Sony MDR-E10LP Fashion Earbuds ...much better.

Great present 2008-09-23
Purchased these for my little sister last Christmas. I haven't heard any complaints about them and I know she uses them on a daily basis.

No Thump... 2008-09-15
Sorry to bummer out on Earthumps, there is simply no depth of sound from these earbuds. Judging from the great reviews, we purchased & wondered why we were able to score such a deal. The $8 purchase was definitely worth the little case, superior part of the package, our Sansa Clip tucks away nicely...with the ORIGINAL earbuds. Earthumps produce tinny sound, no bass whatsoever, perhaps for listening to AM talk radio, who knows, ours went directly into a drawer forever, emergency only. This has us pondering whether iPod & other listeners have no quality sound coming from their MP3 units. Sansa Clip & ORIGINAL earbuds are awesome. Best to hit the electronics store & try earbuds out in person. Earthumps? Thumpless....

Pros and Cons 2008-08-29
My husband and I have been using these for a couple of years now and we love them. We've gone through several pairs. They have excellent sound quality and they stay in my ears through my many miles of jogging. My only complaint is that one side inevitably shorts out after about 6 months of use. This is been an issue with headphones/earbuds for as long as I've been listening to them. I remember the same thing happening listening to my portable CD player or walkman as a teenager so it's nothing new. I have yet to find a set of headphones whose wires DON'T short out after several months of use. That being said, they're easy to replace at $10 a pop, so I consider it a fairly minor complaint.

I must be nuts! 2008-06-06
I purchased the set last week. When I first got them in my ears, fine fit, I noticed the limited range. I thought like a lot of drivers, they needed to be broken in. Well I left them plugged in my MP3 and was hoping for a change. Let me preface the review that I have had many earphone/buds and headphones. I have a basis for good and the bad. Nice for me were the V-Moda (lost), Sonys (cord disintegrated), JVCs (fine, but asymetrical cables drove me nuts) and the list goes on. The Griffins just plain sucked. Not the worst I have heard, but the top end and low end had left the building. I have a set of Philips that have been abused, they are wonderful next to these. I don't know who is reviewing these, but if you think these were great, boy do you have a future ahead of you discovering all of the better ones. I don't believe these are defective. I do know that some of the diaphrams can deform under with compressed air or a vacumm, these were not. Sometimes these can be resolved, and sometimes it can be the kiss of death for them. The diaphrams are so delicate nowadays. So, I am happy to all that enjoy theirs, but for me they are a mistaken purchase. Earphones bought over Amazon are a dicey thing. An objective website reviewing all possible earphones would be a great reference point.

they like to play loud. 2008-05-27
I've been on a quest for better sound & fit, these were about my 8th ear/headphones purchased in the last few mnths. Wasn't expecting much and until I turned em up it's what I got. The Earthumps are average at low volumes. But they like to play loud. They're definitely the best sounding $30.& under earphones I've tried. And they stay in my ear.+++

Good value for this product 2008-05-23
I've been using these for about 2 weeks now; and I use them daily when I exercise. I mainly listen to podcasts with these earbuds, and they work very well. They do supress ambient noise, but not enough so as to be hazardous when you need to listen for cars as you walk on the street, or to cyclists when walking on the trail. The medium size earbuds fit me best and they do not fall out of my ears. Additionally, they are comfortable for extended periods of time. I would definitely recommend them.

The perfect earbuds with headphone quality sound 2008-05-21
I got an iPod a few years back and hated the crappy earbuds it came with. The iPod earbuds don't fit my ears so I went through several brands looking for the perfect fit, decent price, and sound quality... I love my griffin earbuds, they're perfect! Amazing sound, great base, and no unstable noises you'd hear on crappy Philips or iPod earbuds.

I'm currently on my third pair. I think they could be improved though, maybe better wires because it lasts about a year or a year and a half and then I'm back on eBay getting a new pair for $9. I want to see the Griffin EarThumps on retail racks at Fry's, Target, or Office Depot, it's hard to find them :-( They're like a hidden secret and I'm surprized Griffin isn't doing anything about marketing them like their other iPod gear.
