Works great, easy install

Minus the cigarette hardwired setup, this was fast and easy. It works great... I no longer loose the signal or have to change it. I highly recommend this. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there were no instructions on how to hard wire the cigarette lighter.

The product works great in my car, but I didn't realize it wasn't a self install product. I did have to pay a professional to install this part. I think that there is a self install product available for the XpressRC but I bought this one by mistake. I do wish there was a FM signal sender which didn't require installation.

This product is so good it over powers radio stations that would come in the best in my area! It is easy to self install for someone that has alittle common since. Again this product is great! No more static!!

If you live in an area where there are a lot of radio stations then this product is a must. When you turn on your XM receiver it will automatically turn off your outside antenna. Your FM modulator will not have to fight with the other radio stations in your area and it will give you good clean sound though your FM radio.
Defective merchandise

Unfortunately the item was defective as received and the XM radio would not work. Luckily the folks at Best Buy (who were installing the XM radio) were nice enough to swap out the FM Direct Adapter without charging me.
An absolute MUST have!! 2008-05-17
This product was very easy to install (about 30 minutes in my Honda). I can't believe how clear the sound is compared to using the FM modulator alone. I would always get interference from other FM stations and was getting very irritated. I bought the Fm Direct today and am very very pleased. I would never consider buying an XM satellite radio unless you buy this product. All XM radios should come with this product because the XM radio is otherwise useless without it. The FM Direct does everything it says it does and you will not be let down. Truly a must have. And don't be suckered into a "Professional" install. Once you get your stereo out of the dash it is just a matter of plugging some things in and your done. Save yourself the money and DIY.

The direct connection provides crystal clear sound from my XM tuner and couldn't be better.
One thing I didn't realize until after I got it installed was that when the XM radio is on, the direct connection switches off my car radio antenna. So if I want to switch from listening to XM to my regular radio, I can't hear some of my favorite over-the-air radio stations unless I turn my XM tuner off (which takes a few seconds).
If you switch between XM and the regular radio very often, you may want to think about it before going with this option.
