it wasn't the product I ordered but, it works and charges my laptop. Wasn't too impressed just because it was the exact opposite of what I wanted.

this power cord is a replacement for EARLY powerbook G4s and ibooks (think G4 circa 2001... the dinosaurs).
if your power cord plugs in the back of your G4 this is (probably) the replacement you want (45 watt). however, if you have a newer model with a plug on the side of the computer you probably need the 65 watt. the cords look identical but they are actually different sizes and therefor not compatable.

The adapter arrived promptly and in good working order. I guess my real gripe is with Apple for manufacturing a poorly designed product and then not providing a fix for the poor saps that are stuck with it...this is our 3rd replacement....

needed a replacement for apples original adapter. built to break at the connection to the Ibook - have heard this many many times from unhappy apple users ... the plug is my only complaint about apple, but I needed a replacement and had to fork out the dough....
Junk Scammer - Don't Buy This Product

I purchased this adapter from this seller. Firstly, it was the wrong power setting, only 45W instead of the 65W which is sold in America. Secondly, the adapter which plugs into the computer was smaller than the orignial Apple adapter and cracked in only 4 months of usage. This product is being pawned off as a new power adapter, but is really just a refurbished adapter which is junk. I wasted 55 bucks on it, don't waste your money. Buy the adapter from Apple. Your extra 25 bucks will buy a product which may last years, instead of months.

I am very pleased with the item. I had a hard time finding it at Apple. This type of adapter has a tendency to break easy but it is the only one available for the Powerbook G4. I was very happy with the price of the item. Thank you!

WHEN I READ THE ITEM DESCRIPTION AND VIEWED THE PHOTO OF THE ITEM IT MISLED ME TO BELIEVE THAT I WAS PURCHASING THE APPLE MODEL "BRICK" AC PLUG. WHEN IT ARRIVED IT WAS THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE.THE ADAPTER THAT WAS SENT WORKS WITH MY COMPUTER HOWEVER IS A KNOCK OFF BRAND. BUYER BEWARE! iBook G4 Power Adapter 2007-12-18
Exact same power adapter as from the Mac Store, but much cheaper. I destroyed mine accidentally, and this one works exactly the same and arrived quickly, saving me the trouble of dealing with a dead battery and no computer. It's a great replacement.
