A taste of my childhood 2008-08-21
Noodles and chicken was a moderate staple of my childhood (along with Kraft Mac N Cheese and Spaghettios).

I had a craving for these a few months back and NO ONE but NO ONE carries them. My mom found them here.

They are much better with butter (as per the original recipe), instead of the healthy veggie oil version. The noodles stay a little firmer than your average mac n cheese noodle (not necessarily a bad thing, just FYI), but the flavour and everything is wonderful. Thank you Amazon!

Great Pasta with chicken flavor! (no actual chicken in the mix.) 2008-08-07
This is a great tasting, creamy, pasta dish. To cut the salt, use less of the seasoning packet (save rest to flavor gravy or soup.) Use 1 Tlbs each unsalted butter & oil for creamy. Using oil alone isn't great in this pasta - if you do, select a high quality EVOO (Extra Virgin olive oil) instead of other bland oils. Freeze the extra boxes and if you do find bugs, they're dead and can easily be picked out, then you rinse the pasta and proceed. Add a can of chicken for a main dish that feeds two adults. Our case arrived with no problems and no bugs. Great dish for the elderly, also, since pasta is small and creamy, easy to eat. Try it!

Brings back memories 2008-08-04
When I was growing up, my Mom made these Kraft noodles (with chicken flavor sauce) as a side dish when she made chicken. I always loved these. The only difference I found is that the instructions say to make it with two tablespoons of vegetable oil. When I was growing up, the box said to make it with butter. I made mine with butter and it is just like I remember it! I have searched and searched for this product in stores and was so thrilled to find it online.

Great noodles! 2008-07-16
You can't find these in just any store. I have tried Kroger's which I thought for sure would have them, but if they do, I couldn't find them there. I am so glad Amazon has them because I love them. I notice recipe now calls for vegetable oil instead of butter like it originally did. I still use butter and it makes them that much better! I can eat these alone without anything else for a meal. I ordered some on here and they were in date and at a very good price....especially when you order at least $25 worth of stuff and get free shipping!

Love it 2008-07-01
I have loved this stuff since I was a little kid. I am so glad that I can find it here since you can not buy it in any stores around me.

Thanks so much.

simple, inexpensive comfort food 2008-06-12
I have been looking for this product for ages now as it's not available in any stores in my area. This is something I ate frequently in college and my son enjoyed as a child. He has been looking on line for it so we could enjoy it once more. It's a taste of warm, inexpensive comfort food especially if one adds a can of Swanson's chicken breast to it. YUM:) Now my grandson is enjoying it as a toddler and the entire family loves it for a snack or for a quick lunch. It's a taste of childhood, warmth, home.

Better than some--but not as heavenly as some reviewers made it to be! 2008-04-14
Maybe I should stop reading the reviews here on Amazon! Because of them I am ending up with a LOT of boxes of food that I can take or leave! I am going to have to have a sale of my own! I had never had this when I was a kid--maybe that is the reason I can only give it 3 stars! I do like packaged convenience side dishes. And with 19 reviews of almost 5 stars I expected to be in side-dish heaven. Well--all I can say is its good but just ok good! The noodles are kind of square-shaped--a bit unusual. But as with most packaged pasta dishes--they kinda mush together--even if you undercook them a bit! But it was pleasant--and I will make it again! (after all--I have 11 more boxes to go!)

Savory chicken FLAVORED Noodles and sauce 2008-03-15
Great tasting noodles. To address some of the other reviewers' comments:
1. The packaging must have changed in the last 2 months because mine came with the seasoning sealed in a pouch and the noodles were plain. No bugs here.
2. I did not find them too salty, but I use salt free butter and oil for my noodle mixes. I do not like too much salt and these were just right for me when fixed this way. The nutrition facts do say 55% of daily value for sodium, so maybe I'm just on a can't-taste-salt day.
3. Still waiting to see pink elephants, but the green ones sure are pretty. MSG is listed about 2/3 of the way down the ingredients list.
4. Would have given it a 5 star rating, but the text description is wrong. Here they call it "Kraft Noodle with Savory Chicken" but there is no chicken. It is actually called "Kraft Noodle Classics Savory Chicken FLAVORED Noodles and Sauce." If you look at the picture of the box you can see this, but people who use screen readers, or those with low vision, or people who don't pay that much attention to the picture, will not pick up on this as even the alt tags (picture descriptions) are wrong. The ingredients list "chicken fat" and "chicken flavor" but no chicken. But it still has a great chicken flavor....mmmmmm chicken fat, the best part.
5. Nope, couldn't find it in stores either.
Yes, I would buy these again and am thinking about buying another case while they are still on sale.

Had BUGS in it, poor packaging 2008-01-13
These noodles were very good, but my boxes had bugs in them - small, black, about half a size of a small ant. Packaging is bad - noodles are not sealed, they're just plain in the box, coated in seasoning and all. Any bug can get into this box and feast on tasty noodles. I can't imagine why they made the choice not to put them at least in a sealed plastic bag inside the package. Plain noodles are ok, they're completely dry, but this product was seasoned. For this reason I'd never buy them again. Bugs took good 2 months to get rid of, extremely annoying in a completely bug-free home. Now I understand why all seasoned noodles come in plastic packaging. I had to throw out all remaining noodles.

Way better than lipton 2008-01-02
If you have not tried this before, give it a whirl. It tastes awesome and has enough msg to make you see pink elephants!
