Very good product for the money 2008-09-30
Product was easy to set up. Cheap and effective solution for docking the I-pod to my home stereo. Remote control is simple and easy to use. Keep in mind that you will still need to be near the I-pod when using the remote since there is no information screen on the remote. It also works as a charger which is much easier than plugging into the laptop each evening.

Piece of junk 2008-09-06
The unit has worked OK although the remote failed intermittently from day one. Now the Increase Volume(+) and skip foward on the remote doesn't work at all. This leaves the docking station a useless piece of junk because although the volume on the Ipod is on MAX, the volume on the docking station can't be increased(without the remote) so that it leaves the music is at an inaudible level.

DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE A NEWER IPOD! 2008-04-11
I just got an Ipod Touch, and video out DOES NOT work with this dock. I don't understand why it doesn't work but it's a major bummer!

No Video Out on New iPods 2008-01-29
I had a 5th Gen iPod and everything worked great. Now I have a iPod Classic. Video out no longer works.

Careful. This product is obsolete. :(

Hasn't broke yet... 2007-12-21
More than I wanted to spend to hook up the ipod to the stereo, but it's a better quality sound than the alternative (i.e. regular 3mm plug or FM transmission) I guess I could have purchased an Apple Airport, and I still might, but this will do until then. I like the look of the Kensington 33350 and it's footprint is nice and small. The wierd little built-in remote holder thing is a little corny and cumbersome. For example, if you were going to use the remote (have you ever tried scrolling for an artist or song from 20 feet away? Good luck!), why would you store it right next to the device you're trying to control from afar? And it doesn't really sit in the holder very well, you have to tinker with it in order to make it stay...then when you slightly bump it, it falls off. Yeah, these are not really huge issues, just things that have been noticed by everyone in the household and a few guests. (We found we only use the remote to power on the device and/or skip songs.)

The only real concern I have about this dock is the way the ipod sits in the stand. Look at the picture...see how it is not resting on anything...just standing there whilst plugged into the thing in the butt? Well, if you choose to fiddle with the ipod sans remote controller, then you are pressing on the ipod scroll wheel, thus pushing the ipod back creating lots-o-pressure on the butt connecting thing. It feels like it will eventually wear out. So pretty much anyone who tries to select music in this fashion gets a 30 second "be careful now" lecture from me. That gets old.

Otherwise...it's pretty cool. And it hasn't broke yet!

Feels like quality 2007-10-13

Works Great 2007-09-02
It works great. No problems hooking it up or getting it working. The remote works fine. Sounds good.

Love it... 2007-06-26
I debated what system to use to hook up the iPod to a speaker system in the bedroom...buy a dedicated system like the iGroove, which I tried, or use this little gizmo to tap into our existing bedroom stereo, a JBL Harmony. I liked the sound of our Harmony much better so this proved to be a great solution. Compact, nice design and works well with no problems so far.

A really wonderful device that expands the capabilities of my IPOD 2007-06-12
I searched extensively for a good IPOD speaker system so that could enjoy without headphones the large selection of music I have amassed on my new IPOD. I even looked at alarm clocks, radios and portable speaker systems with docking capability. My goal was not to replace an existing alarm clock or other device I already possessed, just to simply to have an inexpensive option to play my music out loud. Quality sound was was the one feature I demanded most.

And then I came across this Kensington 33350 Entertainment Dock. It surpassed all of my expectations. From anywhere in my loft home I can remote control my Ipod and take advantage of the excellent sound system I already have in place. The controls are easy to use and set up is quite simple. And the footprint space it takes up on my shelf is minimal.

I have yet to explore the video capability of the device, but I am hopeful that it will be equally excellent.

I would buy this device again and have encouraged my friends to do the same.
