Light and easy to store. Product was delivered in time frame expected. Easy to assemble
Helpful doggy steps

The doggy steps arrived very quickly. I recommend these to every pet owner, especially those with older pets. It does take some time to train dogs to use them, so be prepared for that. I purchased the steps month ago, and my dog just learned how to go up the steps 2 days ago, despite some heavy training. He is now working on getting down on his own.

This is great. I have a dash hound and you need to watch that they do not jump from a high (high for them) height. I got two of these for her and it was easy to assemble. She uses them everyday. They are very stable.
Great product at a great price. I recommend these to all my friends.
Works well for my cat

I do not/not agree with all the reviews. I do concede it probably doesn't cost that much to make this product, but for me it was worth the 20 bucks. My cat is getting up there in age and for the past several years have been proactive in putting chairs and other lower pieces of furniture in front of her favorite windowsills or other higher places she likes to jump. I'm going to make a second order for the doggy steps because she took to the steps right away and I want to place the steps not only as a step up to my bed, but also the couch. For me this product has really worked well, but I am using it for my 8 lb cat and not a dog. Sometimes if I don't catch him, my 30 lb toddler uses the steps to get on the bed and they have held up under his weight. I have read in cat journals that preventivie measures such as constructing carpet ramps to put in front of high beds and other places your cat likes to go is a good preventative measure as the pet gets on with age, and doggysteps, although not the best quality, serves the same purpose without me having to buy my own materials to make a similar product to get the same result. DoggySteps for me faciitate a piece of mind that her joints are spared a bit of extra stress everytime she uses the steps. Perhaps they should of been marketed as KittySteps, but dogs are probably a better marketing demographic. So all you cat owners, don't have a second thought, the doggysteps will help prevent wear and tear on your cats limbs and joints.
Wonderful doggy steps!

Easy to assemble. Great directions. Cover fits over plastic frame nicely. Three step fine for couch and a 4 step great for the bed. It works well for all my dogs that weigh from 3 1/2 pounds to 15 pounds. The steps don't slide because they have little rubber pads. The cover comes off easy to launder. I only worry my grandsons wil come over and step on them. The frame can't hold too much weight of a child but is just right for the dogs.
Flimsy, overpriced...
2008-06-08
Sadly my 25# dog found this product utterly useless. This product is too small, too short, allarmingly flimsy, disappointingly slippery (even with the faux "sheep" cover my pet's paws slip on its runners), too light (hence it rubberized feet slip on any surface), and the product's price is disproportionate to the blatant cheapness of the overall design and material thereof. Translation? It's an overpriced piece of junk. Maybe if your dog is the size of a guinea pig it'll work great, but otherwise...
not top of the line but good enough...

This product proves we have to read the description to make sure we know what we're getting. I have 5 Havanese who can't quite jump up to the couch. This litte stepper is good enough for them to use and it's not so big they are intimidated byit. Snap together construction and think covering. The cover wears down quickly with use and from vacuuming. I wish I could buy replacement covers.
saving Angel's hips!
2008-03-15
Angel, our wonderful, jack russell mix has always had bad hips and had trouble jumping up on our bed. At first she was a little skittish of the steps, but within 5 minutes, using the tips included with the steps, she climbed them. She was still a little hesitant for a day or so, but now uses them without even thinking about it. Her hips seem to be much better now that she isn't constantly overworking them.
As an added note, not all dogs will be skittish, we have a little 4 pound maltese mix named Shadow who used the steps right from the beginning with no hesitation at all!
Also, these doggy steps were easy to assemble, my 14 year old daughter and I had them up and ready to go in less than 10 minutes!
We, especially Angel, are very happy with our purchase!

deluxe doggy steps

These work great, my Yorkie is almost two years old, some of the beds are too high & when she tries to jump up on them she would fall. With these steps it's much easier for her. I did have to get the fourth step added though. Three steps is enough for the sofa . It only took a little while one day to teach her to use them. Just put her toys on the steps & kept coaxing her to get them.
