Fantastic product for the price

This product works very well; I use it to turn on the lights in my bedroom early morning. The clock is maintained by an internal battery (watch battery/ changeable) so I don't have to worry about power failures. Very simple to use, and very practical. I am able to set to two events, my lights come and on/off in the morning and also in the evening. The only cons are: two pin plug and I wish it had away to schedule between weekdays and weekends. You can save a bunch of money as appose to going for a dawn simulator.

Simple to use and it does what it's supposed to do. Easy!

This was the only "tabletop" kind of timer I could find. It's great because you can easily change the timer on it without crawling down behind your couch or whatever. It's super easy to use, really straightforward, and has a big display. I really like it way more than my other ones that have a million functions I never use. So far so good (I've had it about a year).

Nifty timer and lamp control

Ever have a lamp on one of those dial timers in the wall that you wanted to turn on when the timer wasn't set to turn on? Shove some furniture around did you? Or perhaps you wanted to change when the timer went on or off? Find the little plastic pins did ya? Well this nifty timer beats those problems for you.

The timer plugs into the wall and your lamp plugs into the back of the timers wall plug. You wind up with this control pod that you can set in a convenient place for operating the timer, say the table next to the lamp. It has an oversized on-off button so you can easily turn the lamp on whenever you want to. Programming it can also be done from this convenient location. We have five of these now scattered about the house.

Two opportunities for improvement cost it 1 star (I'm a hard grader). The plug in the back of a plug is a bit tall so it can stick out from the wall more than usual. Behind a piece of furniture this isn't really a big deal, and it's not that much thicker than the boxy dial type timers. Also, to activate the batteries you have to pull a little tape out of the back. This worked on several of our units, but on a few I had to open the door and shuffle the batteries around to get it to work. Small point but something that could be better. Overall very pleased and would recommend this timer.

This works very well, and I needed something that would handle a new fluorescent bulb as the electronic timers do not work with these. This does, and does have the battery backup I wanted. Fits easliy on the nightstand near the bed, and most likely will order several more.

Alright, second time around

First one ordered didn't keep time accurately. Good ol' Amazon works like a charm though!!! 5 stars! I returned it and got a new one immediately! Now it works fine. Just as described. Nothing too amazing though. I use it as an alarm since it is really dark outside in the winter and it helps wake me up. However, it would be cool if it slowly dimmed the lights on and off.

Best Timer Ever

This is the best timer I have seen ever. It is easy to set up, change settings and best of all, it does not suffer from time lost.

I read about using a lamp timer to help one get up in the morning (if one tends to ignore the alarm clock like I do). It works great for that. I love that I have programed it to turn the lamp on in the morning and the evening. The lamp I use it on is a cheap $10 torchiere from a big box store and the mechanism to turn it on is broken such that once the darn light is on for more than a few minutes and heats up, you cannot turn it on or off. Using the lamp timer, I can turn on/off the lamp with a touch of the largest button so having it meant I could still get some utility out of the broken lamp:-) I plan on buying another.

Works like a charm. I use with my slow cooker. The Digital timer works perfectly. I set the time and the times to come on and turn off and it works like a charm.! Yeah!

as far a timers go...this one is easy to set up and easy to use. i bought it because my last one was not digital and made noise when it worked. this one is silent, and makes no noise. for the price...it cant be beat.
