Manually Operated - Made in USA !!!

Pros: Excellent craftmanship, completely manual operation, no batteries or electric motors, small as a lotto pencil.
Cons: Requires two handed operation, pulls fine hair, came lubricated with what smelled like used axle grease.
The axle grease definitely helped keep the operation smooth, but I couldn't take the residual smell up my nose. After cleaning out the grease and lubing with cutting oil, it still works well. It's all stainless steel so it shouldn't rust or corrode.
Probably not the best choice for 1st time nose hair trimmers, but good for the experienced. Excellent for travel due to it's size, but looks a lot like a bullet on x-ray. Made in USA, but beware, the return address is in New Zealand. Overall, a B+
Excellent little machine

I've had this thing for a few years. It's still as good as ever. It works great for trimming in the ears and nose.
It is very well made and has a good weight. I once lost the little screw down the sink, stupidly trying to clean and oil it there. The company sent me a replacement screw within a week and without any hassle. They truly stand by the product.
It does take some practice but you won't be disappointed. Don't buy anything else. This is a quality tool you can be proud of.
This is a man tool right here; no batteries, no BS, and made in the good ol' USA. Don't buy things that make you look lame. You know, stupid battery powered sissy tools. What? You need a battery and a little motor to cut you little nose hairs, Sally? Go watch the Bachelorette while the real men trim their nose and ear hairs. Yeah, that just happened.
Industrial Nose Hair Trimmer 2008-07-02
If you are plagued by luxurious, thick, over abundant coarse nose hair that
battery trimmers simply fluff around your nostrils, this is the product. It feels a little awkward with the two hand motion but this trimmer is a veritable nostril weedwacker. I've tried many nose hair trimmers including Sharper Images $80 + model and the platinum trimmer is by far the most effective.

ABOUT MY OLD TRIMMER
I used to use a rather inexpensive battery operated nose/ear hair trimmer. It was really underpowered -- the rotary blade would get stuck easily, and I was lucky just to get the blessed thing to turn on. Plus, I did not like having to deal with YABOD -- Yet Another Battery Operated Device. If it runs on batteries, they either have to be charged or replaced, and that's a nuisance -- the more YABODs you have, the bigger a nuisance it is. I've gone through a lot of cheap electric trimmers in my time (mostly for beards), and they just don't last.

TAKES SOME GETTING USED TO
If you're accustomed to a battery-operated trimmer, working a two-handed manual trimmer does take a little getting used to. I have to admit that the first time I tried it, I thought it didn't work. I realized that it DID work when I saw all the little hairs in the sink after I rinsed it out, and (forgive me if this seems gross) all the little hairs in a tissue after I blew my nose. (I always blow my nose after trimming so that I don't inhale loose hairs.)
TRY IT, YOU'LL LIKE IT
Once I realized that the Platinum XL does in fact work, I really went to town on the ol' nostrils. It used to be an unruly jungle up there. Now, my nostrils are a thing of beauty! :-) Actually, two things of beauty, if you want to get technical about it.
Best of all, after using this product, I literally breathe easier! Thanks to an unimpeded flow of air, my brain is getting more oxygen. Now my brain can run faster, jump higher, and solve difficult math problems without even breaking a sweat.
Yes, this one product is going change my whole life. Well, not really -- but at least I'll look well-groomed while I'm living it. Plus, I've reduced my YABOD count by one. Sometimes, less really is more!
Painless Trimming 2008-07-02
Now that I have had a chance to compare my new Platinum XL nose hair trimmer to my old trimmers including a pair of safety scissors I can easily say that this is my favorite trimmer. What I like most about it is that it doesn't make lots of noise and it doesn't vibrate inside my nostrils like the other trimmers that I have tried. Also, it has yet to
pull any of my hair out like one of the battery models that I used to own.
It really is painless to use. Very solid and durable and a good value and you never need to replace batteries. Good bye nose hair and a good buy!

Little marvel 2008-06-30
This nose hair trimmer was a gift and at first I wasn't sure what to make of it. It is much smaller than my old battery operated model but much better made in terms of durability and weight, etc.
I have found it very easy to use and to keep clean and everytime that I do use it I am impressed with just how much hair it actually cuts and without the yanking that my old trimmer was guilty of.

I have experimented with lots of different ways to combat nose hairs that are out of control. Now that I seem to trim my nose hair at least once a week I needed something more reliable and less painful.
I purchased the Platinum XL trimmer a couple of months ago and so far all I can say is that it really is the best trimmer that I have used.
It is easy to control and probably what I like most is that it doesn't cause my eyes to water because it simply does not pull my hairs. Great Find 2008-06-29
I saw a video online about this nose hair trimmer recently and decided to give it a try. All that I can say about this product is that it does a wonderful job of easily trimming your nostril hair. The quality appears to be top notch and the stainless steel rotating blades are very sharp and they only cut your hair not your skin like some of those other nose trimmers on the market.
I give this nose hair trimmer 5 stars as well as the company that sold it to me.
