Extremely cute, and durable, and non-toxic!

Love this Haba made toy! It is inexpensive, cute, my son loves to hear it clack-clack, and it's made by a company I trust. I bought no toys that were not made in the US or Europe this year. I can't say enough about Haba's wooden toys, they are safe, and CUTE, and moreover, my son loves them!
Wooden toy pleasure

I got this for our daughter from Germany since I was looking for European made wooden toys not common in the USA. Aptly named him Franz and it was love at first sight for our daughter at 5 months. Franz and other wooden toys from Haba / Selecta are now part of her most coved playmates - she talks / babbles to Franz all the time. Great toys. Well recommended.

This is a realy cute toy. The color is brite and cheerful. You can wiggle it to make a clacking noise that babies like. My Grandson likes to touch it's ears and pink nose.
Our son loves squeak-squeak... especially the crinkly ears

Santa Claus brought several Haba toys to my son for Christmas this year. (I made a special request for 'no toys made in China' since he's eight months and puts everything directly in his mouth... like any self-respecting eight-month old child would.) Haba toys are just adorable, but I have to admit that the small balls (his hands) on Squeak-squeak cause me and my husband some concern; they appear to be on there VERY securely; however, they certainly put a lot of trust in that small rope. The Haba toys are extremely well made, but I still don't let my little one play with this toy without close-at-hand supervision. Some other great Haba baby toys options are 'Moby' (Colorful rattling fish... no arms) or Scalari (another colorful fish, no rattling, no small pieces to break off). Again, we've had no indication that any small pieces are coming off; I am just being overly cautious.
Choking hazard

This mouse is adorable and my 6 month old daughter loved to play with it and suck on the ears and hands. I was concerned about the ball hands possibly falling off (the string holding them on doesn't come through the other side). After about six weeks of use, the hand/ball fell off when I tugged on it to see how it was holding up. Please note that I did not pull on it hard--just a gentle tug.
Haba has a great reputation, but I see here on Amazon that someone else (out of the 4 existing reviews) had the same experience. Please don't let your baby play with this mouse.
love the squeek squeek

Let your baby play with the wooden Squeak-squeak clutching toy! The little mouse stimulates the senses and provides lots of fun. Made of beach wood. Height approximately 3.5 inches. Ages 6 months and up.
Despite the alleged choking hazard, this is great

Fun, well made. Delightful toy. I can't imagine that the toy would fall apart, but I suppose I could be wrong. However, it has held up extremely well for us.
Dangerous toy!

This toy was for my 5 month old granddaughter. She would grab the little wooden ball of the "mouse arm" and shake it back and forth. The little ball came off in her hand! Thankfully, Grandpa was holding her and grabbed the little ball before she put it in her mouth!
Such a charming mouse

My little 7 month old showed excitement when he saw this on the computer, so I thought it'd be fun to see if he liked it in person. He does!
I've never seen one in stores so I wasn't sure what I was buying. All the center beads are connected by elastic. I had assumed the blue disks would slide on a rod, but they don't.The elastic allows the toy to be a touch flexible, so the mouse can bend a little. The little arms are connected by one rope, so they pull from side to side- a cute feature my baby figured out on his own.My baby doesn't like chewing on cloth, but he can't resist the little ears- even though he wrinkles up in disgust each time-so cute. The shape of the face is perfect for sucking on, which is why I was glad he "chose" the mouse over the bear or frog. I wish the mouse had a tail, but that's just for me.
