Nice flavor

This soup is good. I don't like the container it comes in so much. I heat it up in a microwavable bowl, rather than the container it comes in. Progresso does make a good soup. A little expensive this way. Will go back to the regular sized soup can for future purchases.
Contains MSG

Only two of the microwaveable Progresso soups are free of MSG: Lentil and Minestrone.
Tasty

Nice proportions of chicken and noodles in a tasty broth. I eat this for lunch at work and find it quite satisfying. I get a 6-pack once a month via Subscribe and Save.

Good quick lunch on the go. Low cal and filling. There are approx 2 servings per container but you are still under 200 cal total if you eat the whole thing.
Good soup,

This is very good Chicken Noodle soup. I think its just a little over priced but the convienence does alot to make up for that.
Watery soup, poor packaging, bad value for money
2007-11-16
This chicken and noodle soup is much worse than Campbells. Progresso's is watery, with tiny pieces of chicken. I was very dissapointed. Packaging is poorly designed, soup spills all over. Taste was mediocre. Price paid too high! Not impressed, better buy regular cans of soup and take them to work in regular plastic containers.
Delicious comfort food

Progresso has it over its competition when it comes to chicken noodle soup. It's rich, with chunks of chicken and vegetables.

Sent this pack to my grandson in college, and he thought they were fantastic. No need to have cold storage, and he could have them at anytime day or night. Recommend for parents and grandparents as a "little" surprise for your kids in college.

Great to send to your kids at college, a little bit of home
they can warm up in the dorm!
Soup--five stars; packaging--only three stars; this makes for a four star review!

Progresso makes an excellent soup and this chicken noodle soup in a microwavable bowl is no exception. The soup is delicious and overall fairly healthy for you.
I like that the soup provides a good deal of chicken and the vegetables taste fresh. The broth is also very tasty. Progresso makes a higher quality chicken noodle soup than most other brands because they include more chicken, vegetables and noodles in their chicken noodle soups.
One look at the ingredients shows us more positives: There are no trans fats and the soup is very low in fat. It is also comparatively low in cholesterol. However, it also contains noodles so if you need to watch your gluten intake please consider this before buying this product. It contains sodium, too.
Some Amazon reviewers note that the top lid is difficult to remove and then you have to handle the bowl very carefully to avoid spilling the soup. The soup is filled up to the brim of the bowl; and so I couldn't agree more with these reviewers! The top lid is cumbersome and doesn't really help enough when it's on top of the bowl inside the microwave oven, either. The cover didn't completely cover the soup bowl in the microwave and some soup spilled inside the microwave. And yes, you DO need a solid surface on which you can open this container otherwise you are almost certain to have a spill because the soup bowl is filled completely.
Overall, the soup itself is excellent. The packaging, on the other hand, is nothing special. The cover lid is cumbersome to remove and inside the microwave soup can spill out through the cover. Some Amazon reviewers note that the cost of the packaging is what drives the higher cost of this soup--and they are right. The packaging needs to be changed; perhaps Progresso could make a slightly higher bowl so that the soup won't easily spill out when you remove the plastic lid.
I highly recommend this for people who love chicken soup with noodles who don't need to worry about gluten intake and sodium in their diets. If you are bothered by the packaging, however, then try another brand. Five stars for the actual soup combine with three stars for the packaging to make this a four star review.
