Not bad 2008-04-24
Finally figured out how to use these. The earbud size is critical. Once you find the right size and fit, that's where the sound comes in. Turns out they're much better than the earphones that came with my Zen. Altho they sounded not too bad, wouldn't stay in my ears. These sound great, and are comfortable. Plus now i get to turn the volume down by quite a bit. Just hope they last, have only had them a couple weeks.

Creative EP-630 Headphones 2008-04-19
I purchased a pair of these for my 80gb 6th generation iPod Classic, after reading all the positive reviews here on Amazon.

They are very comfortable which was one thing I was looking for, which is why I gave them 1 star. I was also looking for a better sound than the ones Apple sells with their iPod. BIG MISTAKE! These headphones sound like crap! I don't know why everyone raves that these are good sounding. They have NO bass what so ever. Thats why everyone says they sound so clear. I even went through all the EQ settings on my iPod as well with no luck. I went back to the uncomfortable Apple headphones, at least they do sound better. I will be looking for something else in the meantime. From now on I am not going to believe everyone that writes reviews. I need to listen before purchasing. Maybe JBuds or Skullcandy?

Stethoscope 2008-03-13
I would give these 5 stars on sound. But if the wire happens to touch anything while you're moving, it sounds like beating on the end of a stethoscope. So yeah, not good for running or cardio workouts.

better than expected 2008-03-05
These were sent to me as a gift for this past Christmas. I had Creative Aurvana's, but they have run into a small problem while I'm deployed.(see the review I wrote) I was expecting a noticable sound quality down grade from the Aurvana's, but to my surprize there was really not much difference, considering these are two different type of earbuds. The Aurvana's go in the ear more and do take some getting used to. Something that I really never liked, but made it work. These fit more against the ear canal and I have found to be more comfortable to use. This is a personal choice. The two are different designs, the Aurvana's are the armature driver type, the 630's are the neodymium magnet transducers. The 630's do not block outside noise as well as the Aurvana's, but they still blocked out plenty. They produce very good all around sound. The mids and highs are teriffic and it has plenty of bass.(the real surprise) I've read some reviews that they have too much bass, and they can if you let them. Most MP3 players(mine is a Zen Vision M) have some type of EQ on them to adjust to fix that issue. For me these are comfortable, light, and for the price you can't go wrong.

Update: It's now the end of June and I'm still deployed. The heat and sand/dust are now brutal. These headphones are holding up just fine. They may seem a little flimsy, but there is nothing wrong with these earphones at all. Iuse them just about everyday in different ways and they are holding up very well. If they can hold up this well over here, they should be even better in a much nicer enviroment. Sound is still just as good and they are still comfortable to where.

Good value 2008-03-02
I bought this item as a backup for my ipod earbuds; I like the fit and the sound quality. I am using them connected to my PC - replacing clunky headphones.

very very good for the $ 2008-07-18
I replaced my Shure E2Cs with these a few weeks ago. These were about 1/2 the price and they sound every bit as good. These are fine in most instances, but the Shures fit a bit better, and stayed in better while i walked, etc.

i have found that the cable frays in most (even high priced) headphones near the connector. At this price you get very good sound...and you won't feel too bad when they wear-out after a year.

Can't hear anything but music 2008-06-20
Very good sound. Good bass and a good balance of other tones. Three things I didn't like about: the cord makes a little noise (not a big deal to me, i just tuck it in my shirt), the headphones fall out while your jogging, and it doesn't have good surround effects like some of the IPOD headphones I've tried. It has an AMAZING ability to block out other noises! I can't hear someone screaming right in front of me, so its good for preserving your hearing. On that note, you only have to turn the volume up halfway so your battery will last longer.
They look cool in your ears and the cord stays out of the way most of the time. Takes a little getting used to, but definitely worth purchasing despite a few misgivings I had about it. Works well, unlike my IPOD headphones that rattled right out of the box.

Great Airplane Headphones. 2008-06-03
These headphones do a great job in almost every situation. I say almost because they do have one fairly serious drawback. When you use them in a stationary or sitting down situation, such as while travelling in an automobile or airplane, they are superb. They cancel outside noise well and deliver excellent sound quality. However, they are not ideally suited for use as exercising headphones. When the chord bounces around while you run, bike, or walk it creates a fairly annoying amount of motion/wind noise. The noise can be lessened by securing the cable to your shirt neckline with a clip from a hands free cell phone kit, but is is still present. I must say though, that for anything but exercising, these are really comfortable, great sounding earbuds.

Sennheiser CX300s? 2008-06-01
I just received a pair of these as a freebie with my Dell XPS M1330, and several months ago I had bought the Sennheiser CX300s. About a minute after pulling them out of the box it struck me that the earbuds looked identical to the CX300s, with the only differences being that they have the straight plug and the same length of cord to each bud (as opposed to one short length and one long meant to be worn behind your neck, a-la cx300s). I changed the ear pieces to the largest ones (as getting a secure seal is critical to getting any bass with these), pop them in and viola! Same exact sound as the CX300s! I paid about the same money as what they want for these Creatives, so either way they are nice buds for the money.

great fit 2008-06-01
This set of bud is very petit and great on the go.
If you never used westone, etymotic or shure and only has $50 budget than this is the best. But if you are audiophile than you will notice chi/chirp on the highs, its annoying. You have to mess with your mixer to offset this problem. If you have money than etymotic er-4p, westone um2 and shure se420/530 is perfect.
