With Active Noise Cancellation technology, which automatically adapts to ambient noise pollution, plus a closed earpiece design, they significantly reduce the distractions users face when listening to audio on airplanes, trains, buses and cars for a more enjoyable entertainment experience. Most definitely a winner. 2007-06-24
The audio sound is good esp. for the price. Noise cancellation very good (minimal background hiss which disappears when playing music) but somewhat less than Bose. Great during travel. Easily foldable to carry in a briefcase. Price: unbelievable!! You can buy 5-6 for one Bose. Most definitely a winner.

Awesome 2007-01-19
These are comfortable and have a GREAT sound and when you turn on the noise cancelling feature, they sound even better.
Also, since they have the removable cable, in the event that the cable starts to 'short out' because of wear and tear, just replace the cable and not the entire unit. (Great feature.)
You will not be disappointed.

Excellent sound & Comfort 2006-12-27
These headphones are amazing. The first time I put them on I was at my computer and I couldn't hear myself type at all. The sound is so clear that I've heard background singers in songs that I didn't even know were there. Even when my ipod is off, the headphones still buffer out all other sound. Great value, comfy on the head and ears, definitely a buy!!

Excellent 2006-12-16
I love my headphones. Excellent sound. Nice punching bass. They're perfect for long flights (I tried them on a 8 hr flight to Europe). They totally isolate you. I also use them inside my house when I want to enjoy my music without disturbing others. Excellent product!

Excellent head phones 2008-05-21
I travel a lot and have used these on many long flights over the last year. My significant other has also used them multiple times. We love these headphones! Comfortable for long flights, work great to cancel plane noise. Great sound quality for a low cost device. I like the ability to fold the unit smaller and remove the cable.
Use them at home to relax to music and filter out the background noises. Highly recommend these headphones!

Poor sound - plain and simple 2008-01-30
I purchased these headphones on the strength of several reviews stating that the sound quality was very good - the noise cancelling was not part of my purchasing decision. That being said, these are the first noise cancelling headphones I've ever really experimented with, and they're pretty good at that, with the amp turned on. Problem is, the dynamics of the sound itself bad. Everything sounds flat and, as another reviewer put it, muffled. I just wanted a good-sounding, comfortable set of cover-the-ear headphones for my zune and my computer, and I'm disappointed with this purchase.

BETTER THAN BOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2007-09-08
These are just as good as bose. They are worth the $50! But they are not made for people with big heads. The noise cancelling feature works great! I encourage you to buy these over bose!!! Bose headphones are wayyyyy to fragile and you have to be so careful not to break them. I tried some out and these are so much better. I also encourage you to buy products by Creative Labs. There BETTER THAN BOSE!!!

Very disappointing 2007-08-07
I had the Coby CV-191 previous to these headphones and have demoed both the Sennheiser PXC-300 and AKG K81DJ. Out of the four, I would say these headphones sounded the worst to me. Every song I played sounded significantly muddier than usual, and my ears are not especially keen. That in itself would have stopped me from buying it in the first place, but this product is packed with more disappointments.

I don't think these headphones were designed to be worn in public because they are a tad goofy-looking. The thick ear cups make them stick out far from the head and the angled hinges seem to be designed for keeping the ear cups tight on your head, definitely not for aesthetics. Even then, they squeeze your head tight so that it does hurt. I also do not have a wide head. I don't think full-size headphones are supposed to do that. None of the other ones I tried were as uncomfortable as these.

The noise canceling does add a hiss, though it does reduce an impressive amount of droning noises. I would definitely enjoy using this feature if the headphones weren't so crappy as a whole.

Painful 2007-08-01
This is not the first noise-canceling headphones I have used or tried, so
I can compare.

The good.
1) Ambient noise is blocked fairly well (however it is substituted with hiss noise from the speakers - see the bad, #2).
2) Sound quality is not bad for the price.
3) There is volume control

The bad.
1)They are very tight and heavy. My head is not big, but I could not stand them for more than 20 minutes, they gave me headache.
2) There is very audible hiss in the speakers when the power is on.
3) When you switch power on and off sound volume dramatically change. It is much louder with the power. This is not a major problem, but somewhat inconvenient.

Overall, I can't use these headphones and returned them
