Laguna Tent 2008-06-07
I haven't camped out before and neither has my husband but our 3 girls are wanting to go. We bought this tent off Amazon a few months ago and just now got around to setting it up. We've never pitched a tent before and it only took the 2 of us about 10 minutes tops. The only thing I can't figure out is how to attach the porch canopy. The tarp floor curves enough up the walls I don't think there will be any problem with ground water. It's very heavy so it's definately not for backpacking but it will be wonderful for a site you can drive up to.

pretty good / large tent 2008-05-27
we used this item this past weekend. it is LARGE. i liked it. wouldn't work well in the winter though, as the roof is totally mesh and the air would get in under the fly.

Wenger Tent 2008-04-29
Love this tent for our family of four. Plenty of room. You can stand up in it. Love all of the ventilation on the sides and especially the roof.

Pitched it over the weekend 2008-04-28
I really like this tent. I wanted something spacious and that I can stand up in it. I also like that there's 2 doors, a privacy divider and big windows which is great for summer...help vent some cool air into the tent. We fit 2 Queen air beds and a cooler and there was plenty of room left. It took us less than 30 minutes to set it up (we also did it at night). It was easy to take down. I ended up doing that by myself. The only problem I have is and I have this with every tent...I can never seem to get it to fit back into the bag.

Love this Tent!! 2008-04-27
This tent is huge. There are two rooms and each room has it's own door so you don't have to disturb anyone else if you need to get up in the middle of the night. We live in a windy area and this tent held up like a dream. The set up is very easy, I mean, it is big so the first time you do it, it may take 20 mins, but once you get the hang of it you may spend only 10 mins setting it up. There are also lots of clever features inside the tent. The craftsmanship is amazing.

The one thing I didn't like so much was that the roof is primarily made of the screen mesh material. Which can be neat if you are not expecting any wind or rain. But if you are in question, the rain fly must be up otherwise you will get wet.

All-in-all, we love this tent and will not be moving on to another one for quite some time.

Big tent for solo camper but no problems 2008-04-04
I got this tent for $30, and it was the only tent I had when I decided to go camping with my dog. My SO had to stay home last minute for some work stuff, so it really was just me and the dog solo in the redwoods for a week.

I put up the tent in a light drizzle and wind--all by myself. It was remarkably easy. After the 2nd night, it started pouring (I had sealed the seams, but condensation did get in the tent a bit). The only major problem was the tarp over the door filled with water while i was away from the campsite and then collapsed into a giant mud puddle right in front of the door. Camping was okay in the rain and the giant tent made it easy to sit indoors for long periods. I kept the sewn in room divider pulled up the whole time, so it was big room.

The only problem came when it was time to tear down camp. I finally left a day early because the pouring rain wasn't letting up. I was able to easily pull the tent down by myself and get everything ready to go. There was no way I could get it back in the carrier by myself. I shoved it all into the trunk and drive off.

Later, my SO and I spent about an hour rolling up the tent tight enough to put back in the bag. That's the only problem with this tent--putting it away.

big and strong tent 2008-03-29
I bought the tent to be used n Brazil where I live. It was therefore important for me that the tent has plenty of ventilation which this one has. It was very easy to get it up. I especially loved the fact that the upper stakes are made out of iron instead of glass-fiber. I agree that the tent is heavier because of this, but the fact that it is more stable and that i can hang stuff (like organizers) from the roof is more important to me. Overall , loved it, great space, easy in setting up. only downside; impossible to get back into the bag which it came in.

Very happy 2008-03-24
After a few years of camping in a fairly small tent, we decided to take the plunge and purchase a much larger one. We were impressed by the size, price, and earlier review of this tent and ordered it last week. It just came in the mail and of course the first thing I did was take it out in the yard to set it up. The first thing I noticed about it was how heavy it is. This is definantly a tent you only want to use if you can drive right up to your campsite. I wouldnt want to carry it farther than about 20 feet if I could help it. I set it up all by myself in a light breeze without any trouble at all. The directions were very clear, but it wouldnt have been hard to figure out even without any directions. I like the fact that the middle room divider is sewn it, because it seperates the two rooms much better than the typical dividers which just hand from two or three hooks, but I do wish it could be pulled farther out of the way for times it isnt in use. The headroom for the inside of the tent is great, but the front canopy is much much lower, and even I at 5' even almost touch my head on it. I would have liked it to be as high as the inside of the tent is. Because of its design, there is no way to keep it from collecting rain, so whnever it is raining you would have to lower it. (it attaches to the front of the tent by way of velcro, which is great added rain protection for the front door, but I would have liked to be able to actually USE the canopy to get under when it was raining). Im sure it would be fine in a light mist or rain, but anything harder would cause some problems. I would have liked the back ans sides to be at slightly less of an angle, you lose some of the usable space becasue you cant get things as close to the sides of the tent as possible, but there is still quite a bit of room and I am looking forward to camping in it this upcoming weekend. I packed it pack up in the same light breeze, compleatly by myself, and other than some light frustration with the tent fly, I had no problems. I was able to fit the tent, poles, fly, and everything back into the canvas bag without too much hassle, but as I was carrying the bag back into the house after packing it up, the handle for the carrying bag began to tear away from the canvas. It really is a heavy tent, I may sew a new bag to seperate the tent from the poles to make it easier to carry.

This tent is Huge!! 2008-03-13
This tent is enormous but surprisingly easy to set up. By myself I can have it set up in 10 Minutes. The only thing I dont like about it is the awning, IT always seems to fall down in high winds, but no worries, its a great family tent.
