Treo case works great for me

This case works well for me. I often carry the Treo in my pocket and the removable clip makes this a more versatile choice. It is a little bulky, but I don't find myself bumping keys like I did with other cases. The belt clip option works best on the right side. You can open the case one-handed and check the screen without taking it out of the case.

Phone is hard to get out of the case and depending on the belt it slips off. For the price it is ok but not great.

I have been carrying a PDA on my body for 15 years and I am constantly running, jumping climbing etc This case is the best I have had (and I buy a lot of them to test) I don't like any of my Bluetooth headsets and prefer to use a wired one with a full length boom mic which the case did not accommodate until I drilled a hole on the seem the exact size of the the plug- works perfect! I really like the clever right handed "shelf" that opens about 75 degrees so you can see the face "hands free" which is very handy while waiting for a web site to load.... but I was a little concerned that it could fall out so I added a little piece of velcro to the back of the treo and the inside of the case which gives it just enough extra hold to be sure it will not accidentally fall out-- it also has the bonus effect of making the case a little tighter in the case, so it takes a little extra pressure on the latch to open it/ you can't open it by accidentally bumping it!! The styling is low key, simple smooth black which I love!!

It Is Drop-Worthy

I thought that I didn't need this type of case so I put off buying it. After one almost catastrophic event, I decided not to take any chances. I ordered it and it has saved my Treo more than once.

The complaints over the clip are over stated. The belt clip comes off with some degree of work but it's doable. The clip however is a good tool in terms of being able to be hooked onto a belt or the strap of a shoulder bag for easy carrying. I think this is a good product and well worth the price.

Good protection, could have more features and better clasp

I've used this as a belt case for almost a year. It protects well, but I wish the clasp was a little more secure when the case drops. The phone sometimes comes out after a fall, but the case takes the brunt of the impact. I wish that the case had a hole for the headphone jack, but I haven't gotten around to drilling a hole. The hinges are holding up well even though the open side of the case gets caught on things if I leave it open on my belt while talking on the phone. Would buy this case again and recommend it to a friend.

disappointed with the clip on the hard case

The major problem is that the case has a clip that slips over the belt. The case is always, always slipping off the belt whenever you move! Then you stand up and the case falls from your lap onto the floor. I stopped using the case after it dropped to the floor and my Treo flew across the room. It happened too many times. Why doesn't the case have a belt loop so that the case stays securely on the belt? Why use a metallic clip that always slips loose? Also, as noted in other reviews, the case opens to less than 90 degrees which causes difficulties when the phone is ringing and you want to grab it quickly. The case can only be worn on your right side and opened conveniently with your right hand. The Treo can be easily scraped on the metallic closure fixture unless you're careful. This wasn't my first case for the Treo but it's the biggest disappointment. I'm still looking for a suitable case.

A Very Good Case

I got mine about 8 months ago. And yes, there is the problem that the clip will release and eject your phone onto the pavement, it happened to me twice. But these phones are plenty tough, and can take the beating. one of the reviewers noted that the case mares the casing on the Treo. He's right. I just noticed it after reading his article. But if this is not the kind of thing you are worried about, and you really need a strong, compact, durable, and classy case, then this is what you should get. During the day I would use it in construction, exposing it to dust and moisture, and many times, having it banged against, with an impressive amount of pressure. In the evening, I would brush it off and wear it while dining, to the opera, or the ballet. It always looked great. But I must confess I was too tough on it and the hinges finally broke. So you can bet, I am going to order a new one. Of course you can order the water-proof, dust-proof, sand-proof, drop, shock, and crush proof, OtterBox pda case, but it increases the bulk of your phone so that you can barely get you fist around it. Which, for me, defeats the goal of compactness. Get the palm, you won't regret it.
