2 Coby's

I bought 2. for the money, they were a good deal. although the wireless headphones look cheap, they work pretty well. we used them on a roundtrip overseas, & they saved us a lot of noise & running around after the kids. A good buy.
So Far So Good!

Just bought 2 of these and brought them on a 4 hour flight to Ixtapa, Mexico. I knew the battery life was only good for one movie so I also purchased an external battery with a life of 6-8hrs. We had a large group of people so we used both of them and used the external battery with one so I had a spare for when the other one ran down. Everything worked nice, especially for the price, all cables that I needed, remote, wireless headphones. Picture was great, and when we wanted too, we could relax in our hotel room and plug it into the tv and watch a movie there. So Far So Good, hope it continues to work like it does now, and last a few years, for now I would highly recommend this DVD system.

Works well. Only 2 minor issues: First is the buttons on the front of the player are not clear re: stop, play, ect. which in the dark while traveling is frustrating as you push in trial & error. The remote is direct line of sight only. The second is the wireless headsets. They have a button on each that scans 4 frequencies for the sound connection. It is very easy to push this button & lose the connection while simply putting the headsets on or if a child adjusts theirs without realizing it until you question why you can't hear the movie. You have to keep pushing the button til the sound comes back clear. Also there was interferace one time by a powerful radio station in the major town we were in. On the other hand, the volume control is not as easy to change, that's a good thing with kids, and can be set & left at an appropriate level.
Great for the money

I bought this because I wanted a dvd player that could EASILY tap into my car's audio. With the built-in FM transmitter, movies sound great! The tablet style design makes this unit compact and stylish. I have no need for the wireless headphones, so I haven't even tried them yet. The controls are easy to learn and use. The viewing angle is better than I anticipated. No complaints.
Very Disappointed

After waiting for over 6 months for the release of the Coby TF-DVD7060 with wireless headphones(it was supposed to be released last summer, according to the Coby website), I was very excited when it finally became available.
Before purchasing this product, I had own the Coby TF-DVD7050 (very similar DVD, but without the wireless capability), for several months and had been very satisfied with it. So I thought the TF-DVD7060 with the wireless capability would be an improvement right?
Well, not so much...
The main problem is that the wireless capabilities are extremely limited. The Coby TF-DVD7060 has a radio transmitter, and the headphones have a radio receiver. The product manual says the reach of the transmition is up to 6 feet, but in reality the headphones don't work if the distance from the DVD player is more than 3 feet. I guess it is OK for someone that wants to use it in the car or while sitting on a desk, but that's it. I usually use my DVD while on the stairmaster, or doing chores around the house, and because of the limited reach, this product was useless to me.
So I returned the product, and with the difference in price (~$50) I bought a bluetooth wireless headphone kit (that comes with a transmitter), and stuck to my "old" TF-DVD7050, making it "wireless". Hopefully Coby will realize that the radio technology doesn't work, and move to Bluetooth soon. Only then I would be willing to give their new model another try.
Bit Let Down!

Product arrived quickly and in good condition. The mounting bag was great and I really like the appearance of the whole thing. The problems was with the DVD player. It was so loud when playing a disc, you could hear it making a loud buzzing sound while the disc was spinning. The headphones also had terrible interference and we couldn't use them in the car using the FM tuner which was why I purchased this item. I sent it back right away and Amazon quickly refunded my money.

So far we love the DVD player it works great. It plays movies well and the screen looks great. I was a little disappointment when I found out that the DVD dosen't slide in, you have to take the player out of its case to change movies. I was under the impression that it loaded from the side. Also the headphones work well where I live, but if you are in a larger city they can be overpowered by other radio stations. I just returned from DC/NYC and the headphones did not work at all there. They just picked up outside radio stations. Over all, great DVD player for the money.
OK - but could be better

My purposes for the 7060 is to play MP3 CD music via my FM radio in my 2002 SUV. I want to play my home made CD's that give me +10hrs of my music. I ordered it taking a risk making the assumption that Coby 7060 would have common-sense controls. I now know why Colby never respond to my web site queries and why they do not have the 7060 listed on their web site. Answers to my questions have now been discovered:
FM TX only has four preset frequencies 88.1, 88.3, 88.5, 88.7; if you have a near strong station you will get interference. They should have added four 107 MHz frequencies if they insisted on presets. Plus the head phones run off the same FM TX (not IR as implied) so you get loud ear pops with near strong station interference.
Confirmed - FM TX has barely 6'distance; the audio has raspy highs.
Still unknown what the battery is; Lithium or NiCad. What is alarming is only 300 recharges before degradation can be expected. No MSDS label on the battery for proper disposal.
There are NO controls for R/L audio balance or bass/treble! No super bass or enhanced audio modes. The controls are NOT back-lite for night vehicle or in-the-dark use.
The BIG BLUNDER of the 7060 as a CD/MP3 music player is there are >>>NO<<< "random" or "shuffle" modes - this really sucks making it nearly worthless as a music player!!!
Needless to say I'm disappointed in the 7060 but I'm more disappointed in Coby for the lack of sales information baiting us into purchasing a substandard device that doesn't meet the established bare-minimum common-sense industry standards.
BUY SONY --DO NOT BUY COBY

UNIT WAS OK WHEN IT WORKED --ABOUT TWO MONTHS. RETURNED UNDER WARRANTY. I PAID TO SEND IT TO COBY AND THEY CHARGE $18 FOR RETURN POSTAGE. NO PROBLEM UNTIL..... THEY SENT A LESSER MODEL 7050 - WOULD NOT SEND EQUAL MODEL UNLESS I PAID TO RETURN IT. I MENTIONED THAT WARRANTY REPLACEMENT SHOULD EQUAL OR GREATER VALUE (WOULD YOU WANT A 25" TV IF YOUR 46' WAS SENT IN FOR REPAIR) THEY STATED THAT THIS IS THIER POLICY. COBY PRODUCTS ARE CHEAP YES. THEY ARE ALSO JUNK AND THE COMPANY SUCKS .. SONY IS SOOOOOO MUCH BETTER IN TERMS OF QUALITY AND SERVICE
Excellent quality, great price

I was surprised at how nice this dvd player was. The headphones are wonderful and actually work. The quality of the screen was great and I really love this player. I highly recommend it.
