Do not buy this MP3 player 2008-07-18
This is a waste of money. The interface is very bad - it arranges songs only by Windows summary info, ie you cannot just create your own folder and move it over to Sansa and see it exactly the same way. If the summary info is not filled in from Properties in Windows - which is the case with many downloaded songs - Sansa cannot display it, even the mp3 has a valid file name - it will just say 'unknown' even if the mp3 itself HAS a name. Also, I've added songs, then deleted them, only to find that the Sansa player still believes that the songs are on there. So I can't get rid of all the clutter laying about the index. I just have to accept that I have "ghost" tracks that are no longer there and ignore them. Worst of all, I have only had this player for 2 months, and already I have trouble turning it on and charging it. Oh, yeah... Also the screen gets scratched if you so much as breathe on it. Honestly, you can't have this thing in your pocket for 1 minute before it's scuffed so badly that you can't read it. Don't waste your money!

Love it! 2008-07-18
When I bought this product I was slightly unsure about the actual quality I would be getting, but this small, cheap MP3 player is actually the best one I've ever had, and I've been my share of MP3 players. It's really easy to use, it's so small it fits almost anywhere, and the battery lasts for an extremly long time. I honestly couldn't be happier with my purchase.

MP3 2008-07-18
Great product! It is easy to use and works wonderfully. I am not a computer savant and I can download all my music on to it with ease. I like the style. The screen and fuctions are simple. I would never go back to an IPOD!

Great Product and Easy to Use 2008-07-17
This was so easy to set up. It is truly plug and play. This is my first MP3 player that is why I got the 2 megs. I grab my old CD's and starting loading it. Now I can walk and listen to music at the same time. The best part is the categories. I can list my music my Artist, Song Title, Album title, or Genre. I would recommend this product highly.

Great MP3 player & alternative to IPOD 2008-07-17
I love this MP3 player. It is so easy to use, load. The display is bright. It's easy to turn on and off and the menu is user friendly. The expansion slot makes it so easy to have alot of music and change it frequently. I bought a 2 gb Micro SD for 10.00 and you pop it in and have so much music that is easily used. I also have an IPOD and it is getting sold. This is so much easier to use.

As good as any Ipod 2008-07-23
This Mp3 player is the best I've owned so far, with all the features you need and at a much more reasonable price than any Ipod. My favorite part is the spinning blue wheel, which looks cool and makes song selection convenient. Although you may prefer the 4, 6 or 8 gig models for more space, this is one of the best players out there. I highly recommend it.

DON'T UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE ON THIS UNIT 2008-07-21
I bought this product a little over a year ago. It has worked fined up until 2 days ago. The problem started when I tried to update the firmware from the internet site. After updating the firmware, the player started to do unusual things. My computer no longer regonize the player was connected, I started to get messages that stated 'BAD TRACK' on most of my songs. After formating the player I thought I was downloading songs only to find out nothing was showing one the Sandisk (Only on the computer). When trying to format again, nothing comes on the screen of the Sandisk except 'Load main image failed. Switch to Recovery mode.' I have absolutely no idea how to do that and I haven't received a reply to the email I sent to Sandisk.

I do believe upgrading the firmware on my unit is what caused all the problems with my player. I have placed an order for another and I will moniter this one to see if I start having any problems that have been previously mentioned in other reviews. I'm really thinking of canceling my order and buying the new Sony unit.

great cheap mp3 player 2008-07-21
I bought this mp3 player about 2 months ago, and so far I am very satisfied with it. The fact that its inexpensive but still has some decent features is nice. The fm receiver while simple is a very nice touch, so that i can listen to the news when jogging etc. While the capacity is small, I quickly bought an 8 gb micro sd card which instantly expanded my storage to 10 gbs, really a pretty good amount and still under 100$. Granted I have not even atempted to use the video functions on this device, and they probably could be better, but for 50 bucks this is a hell of a buy.

Not a very sturdy unit 2008-07-20
I bought this as a gift for my wife in March of this year. It functioned well until now. The player was never banged around or exposed to excess heat, but the display sreen suddenly went wonky. It displays nothing but a frozen piece of abstract art on the screen, and nothing I have done will fix it. Now I understand why most people buy iPods; they're worth a little bit of extra money. And that is exactly what I'm going to purchase as soon as this review is finished.

Great Product, Great Price! 2008-07-19
I got this Sansa at a great price for my child, and it works great. It holds a charge, as opposed to another product I purchased. I have no complaints.
