Editorial Review
The GigaWorks T20 Stereo PC MP3 Speaker System contains an expressive tweeter and a high performance midrange driver made from high-tech woven glass fiber. High quality, component-style controls and up-front access to the headphone output and MP3 player input make the T20 a great choice for demanding gaming and music enthusiasts. Experience natural and accurate lower frequency response. Cloth design provides better resistance to humidity and temperature changes. Acoustically engineered to enhance the low end by efficiently channeling sound waves from the inner chamber to the soundstage. Individual bass and treble controls, plus volume control and power. Headphone output and auxiliary inputs for your MP3 player or other audio gear are up front where you need them. The GigaWorks T20 works great with home video systems as well as PCs and notebooks.

Great sounding speakers. 2008-05-03
These speakers sound great. I received these speakers yesterday, immediately connected them to my pc and inserted a Spider-man 3 dvd. The initial sound was not good but after a 2 to 3 minute warm-up Wow! The soundtrack filled the room and the dialog was crystal clear. It could even be heard clearly from the other side of the house. I then played a CD, some downloaded tunes and both sounded great. Playing games takes on a whole new dimension with the sound effects surrounding you.

The seperate bass, treble and volume/on/off controls on the front are very handy.

The speakers have a nice appearence and look good sitting on the desktop.

The blue light (on indicator) is as bright as others have mentioned once you start thinking about it but not so bad once you put it out of your mind and it could easily be covered if it really bothers you.

Nice!!! 2008-04-22
Being that I am in radio, I needed some speakers that were going to give me optimal sound while mixing my audio files on my PC! The playback was great!

Very nice, balanced sound! 2008-03-14
These speakers are great at what they do. You're not going to get the deep rumbling bass, but you will get a balanced, good overall sound. I use them for my Creative Zen Vision W, connecting via the auxiliary in on the front panel. They get loud enough, without becoming murky. The only annoying thing is the super bright blue LED power light...but I put a piece of electrical tape over this right away - problem solved.

To sum up, I'd recommend these as a good sub-$100 set of speakers for PC and mp3 players. They're not perfect...but if you're an audiophile, you're probably not looking at this price range anyway.

Great speaker, poor quality control. 2008-03-07
I recently purchased these speakers from a local store (rebate deal). The first pair was defective right out of the box (left channel would not work at all). After a trip back to the store, the second pair seemed to work -- for a month. Then, the left channel would get this horrible static on it (this is without even having anything plugged into it except power). Turning it off for a few minutes would fix the problem, but why bother with this? I took those back to the store and got my THIRD pair. Now those seem to work fine (so far). Well, now that I have a working pair, I love them. At high volumes the bass breaks up, but this is to be expected. At moderate volumes, these things sound great! They are not studio monitors, but they are probably as close as you are going to get for under a C-note. The sound is crisp and clear, and the auxiliary input on the front is a nice touch. My only real complaint is that the stupid blue LED on the front of the right speaker is WAY to bright, but a little electrical tape can fix that. If you get one that works, highly recommended.

White Noise. 2008-03-06
These speakers were ideal, and I was really happy with them for the first 3 months... before they became just a couple of really attractive shelters to house static.

This seems to be a reoccurring theme with this model from what I've been able to learn so far.

Three months of reliable play from a set of brand new speakers is flat out unacceptable. There's no excuse for that.

Good Quality! Good Sound Reproduction!! 2008-07-18
I wanted a small set of speakers with good sound quality for my home office desktop. I didn't need incredibly powerful speakers, but I wanted something I could listen to at moderate intensity levels and receive good sound reproduction.

For overall sound quality, the Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 speakers are better (in my opinion) and the Klipsch subwoofer certainly provides a better gaming experience. But, for my small office space, a subwoofer didn't make sense and these are perfect for listening to music at moderate levels.

With the $20 rebate recently offered, I considered these to be an excellent bargain! However, even without the rebate, I would be pleased with the quality and performance.

Great Sound! 2008-07-09
Great sound!!!
I had a 2.1 system before, but this Creative T20 has a much better sound. Especially because the bass is stereo too (comparing to 2.1 systems which bass is out mono).
Talking about bass, I don't understand what people expected from bass. These speakers DO have bass!!! A lot!!! I think people sometimes mass bass with wall-shaking. Bass is for the ear, not for the wall (actually wall-shaking distort the original sound).

I perceived that the sound tends (specially when closer to the speakers) tends to get better with time.. at the first day sounded halo, but it has improved after 3 days.

Mode than adequate bass, middles, and highs. All sound great! Solid construction too. I have it for 1 month now and I love it!

Just remember to cover the bass Xport when not using to avoid dust..

Good speakers 2008-06-29
Good speakers for speech applications, low distortion.
Not meant for loud music (no subwoofer).

great sound! 2008-06-23
I've had this pair of speakers for a few months now. There's only one issue I have with them. I have a shaky folding table that houses my monitors and these speakers, so every time I move about in my cramped little room, there's a high chance of brushing against the speakers set up on the edge of the table. The speakers, unfortunately, aren't bottom-heavy, so they've fallen down quite a bit, but to their credit, I haven't noticed any loss in audio quality. So, they're certainly built to last.

As for the sound itself, I am not much of a discerning listener, but I have found them to have a very "clear" sound. I haven't noticed any particular part of the spectrum being over emphasized. Although the bass is, as another reviewer put it, "adequate", it may not please those looking for a really heavy sound, and that's about the only piece of caution I can sound.

Value 2008-06-09
For the money, I am well pleased with these speakers. As noted in other reviews, the blue power light is much too bright. I put a square of electrical tape over it with a pin hole in the middle to limit the glare.
