Poor quality

If you want a product that lasts more than one year then buy something else. I have purchased two of these and neither lasted more than a year. The company has done nothing to solve this problem. I will be purchasing something from another manufacturer.
Boom is not so booming

This alarm clock is in a box in my attic waiting on a yard sale. The problem is 2 fold. The vibration wakes up my boyfriend and the "sonic boom" doesn't wake me up. I don't know what they were thinking when they tried to make this alarm clock seem loud. I got a 15 dollar alarm clock from Target that would wake the dead and it works just fine for me. Another problem with the vibration is that I toss and turn and the thing always ends up on the floor, no matter where i put it. I would not recommend wasting your money.
WILL WAKE UP THE DEAD

This is a great alarm clock. My son is now more independent and able to wake up ON TIME. The combination of the loud alarm, the flashing lights, and the Bed SHAKER definitely does the job well. An added bonus is having it hooked up to the phone. The 3 way combination is triggered every time the phone rings. This is a great backup. I am so glad I made this purchase. I highly recommend this product.
Wakes me up every time

This is a great alarm clock, though there are a few things I don't like about it.
Pros:
- Wakes me _every_ time.
- Adjustable tone knob lets me find exactly what I want to jar me awake.
- Flashing lights help me find the alarm clock since I set it up halfway across my room and have severely impaired vision before putting on my glasses.
Cons:
- Construction feels very cheap.
- Difficult to turn alarm off reliably. I tend to just hit the sleep button and then slide the alarm to the off position.
- Only one timer to control both the sound alarm and vibrating feature. I would have liked being able to make it vibrate first, and then alarm a little later if I somehow slept through that.
- Vibrator is so large it creates a large bump in my mattress. I'm basically in a dorm room, and the bed is just a mattress on top of a wooden board, so there's no cushioning on the bottom where there'd be with a traditional box spring. Because of that I have to put the vibrating unit at the bottom corner of my bed where it tends to rattle a lot.
- Short cable on the vibrating attachment greatly limits the distance I can put the clock away from my bed. For the money they could have put in an extra 6' of cable.
- Some of the cables are a little loose in the back, and I'm worried about them working their way out and me not noticing until it's an hour or two too late.
All in all I'd say the clock is a worthwhile purchase if you're a heavy sleeper like me and have a really difficult time waking up in the morning. With traditional alarms you can just roll over and ignore the buzzing/radio, but this thing shakes your bed enough that it's just too frustrating to try and roll over. I'd recommend setting it up in a spot where once you've gotten up and turned it off you won't feel the urge to drop back in bed.
I also wish Amazon carried the extension cable for the vibrator so I wouldn't have to drop so much on the other after shipping.
Its Great! 2008-10-22
I bought this clock hoping that it would wake me unlike other clocks. We use to set 9 alarms every night. I am not joking. We have 3 cell phones and 3 alarms on each, AND we still slept through them all! We are working college students, so it is hard for us to stay up late studying and go to work or class the next morning. The clock was delivered Monday, and it wakes us up!!!! The clock is not as loud as I hoped, but it works great with the bed shaker. We have a 12 to 14 inch mattress and it still vibrates it with two people on the bed. I like the combination of the sound with the vibration. There so annoying together it wakes us up every morning!
Wow!!! 2008-10-10
I bought this for my brother-in-law. He used to use two alarm clocks positioned across the room. He used them to wake his wife, who would then kick him out of bed. Although I was disappointed in the volume of the alarm, the bed shaker seemed to be right on target. The results were successful. The shaker wakes him up without waking his wife. Marriage saved.
Great product 2008-09-07
I purchased 3 of these two for each kid and one for my husband. It has been great my son has been getting up for school on his own now. It wakes my husband up, but he is bad for hitting the snooze. The alarm isn't as loud as I would have liked it, but the pitch of the alarm works.
Good Buy 2008-06-18
The sonic alert clock is great.
I originally didn't want the vibrating part, and I just wanted the big sound alarm. Since you couldn't get one without the other I bought the clock with both.
As it turns out, I put the vibrating part in a pan and it bangs inside the pan when the alarm goes off. It would wake up the dead.
The clock alarm loud enough also.
Good purchase.
Sonic Boom with vibrator 2008-03-24
This alarm clock works wonders, I have a hard time getting my wife out of bed after I have left for work. Using the vibrating alarm or calling will get her up to answer the phone. Its great.
The BEST Alarm Ever! 2008-01-08
I shopped and shopped for a great alarm.. and I finally found it. I love how many awesome features it includes. The alarm can be turned up.. and the tone changed... The vibrator is great for when I need to be up and my man is still asleep. I also love the phone feature. It's fantastic because if the alarm is set for any time, it will go off when the phone rings.. whether it is time for the alarm to go off or not. Now sometimes, that's not such a great thing, so I have to unplug it. However, it has been wonderful for my home business. Now I can vacuum the floor and still hear the phone. I seriously recommend getting one.
