Editorial Review
The Wireless Presenter with Laser Pointer features all of the necessities that other competitive presenters offer. This presenter has the ability to page up, page down, esc slide show, darken screen and resume screen. It also has a laser pointer button and an on/off switch. It also includes an alt tab application switch. The long-range 2.4GHz wireless technology has up to a 30 ft. range, which is ideal for a large conference room. The preset RF connection enables true plug-and-play capability; no driver is required. Stop tripping over wires and asking colleges to change the slides- this presenter is ideal for any PowerPoint presentation.

Great Work Tool!!! 2008-05-06
Worked exactly as it said. No problems with anything. Best work purchase yet! Thank you Amazon!

Good product but weak laser, loose battery compartment, and one failure 2008-04-30
I bought one of these Powerpoint presenters in August, 2007 for use in my college chemistry classroom presentations. It works great, although the laser pointer is too weak to be seen, so I use a separate, more powerful laser pointer in my presentations.

Recently, the USB unit on my pointer failed within the 1 year warranty period, so I returned it to the manufacturer for a replacement unit. In the meantime, I purchased a second unit as a backup, should a future failure occur, as I depend on this device every day, and it has become very inconvenient to present lectures without it. The manufacturer did supply a new unit within the promised two week turnaround, so I have no issues with their service and support.

One further problem was encountered with the second unit I purchased. The battery compartment in the remote unit is too large, so that the AAA battery can flop around and lose connection. I installed a folded paper "shim" between the battery cover and the battery to prevent the battery from moving around in the compartment, and have not experienced any further problems.

Only works for powerpoint, only sends pageUp/pageDown, not configurable 2008-04-30
This pointer works, but only for PowerPoint. I naively assumed that if you could use it to go back/forward on PowerPoint, you could also use it for a iPhoto slideshow or some other application. Not so. You can't set it up to do anything other than send pageUp/pageDown, and alt-tab.

Great compact presenter & laser pointer for the price! 2008-04-28
I purchased this wireless presenter for my laptop for doing presentations at different meetings. I've used it several times and it works very nice as advertised. The four buttons work nicely to forward and reverse the slides and darken the screen plus the laser works for pointing, no matter what distance from the screen within 30 feet.

The on-off button is a little tricky as others have mentioned, but works okay. Just make sure to turn it off as I can see problems with dead batteries when packing the unit inside the computer case. It even comes with a nice cloth case to pack the unit in. Overall, nice product for the price!

Works on my Mac Air 2008-04-24
Works great on my Mac and my PC. For Windows ,j ust plug the IR receiver to the USB , then turn the pointer ON (the switch is on the right side when the unit is facing you). If you plug the IR receiver in your Mac ( I have Leopard as my OS) ,your mac will detect it as a new keyboard device. Skip thru all that step and run your presentations and test. It's that easy.

Good one 2008-07-10
Good one. I liked it, its working the way i want.

Cons: Needs USB drive attached all the time with the computer during presentation. You may forget to remove it after the presentation.

Fantastic! 2008-07-02
The Targus Wireless presenter is amazing. It's exactly what I was looking for with a great price. Works great and definitely enhances your presentations!

Targus wireless presenter 2008-06-11
The old cliché you get what you pay for is true in this case. I ordered one, didn't work (laser pointer), returned to Amazon, got another one and it wouldn't work either (advance nor backup) the slides. Returned it and ordered the Logitech presenter.

Very good for the price 2008-06-03
I have owned many different pointers. I seem to lose them all. This one, for the money, is probably one of the best I have purchased. The button layout is very similar to many of the other models out there, but to me, the buttons are larger and easier to work. When I am in the middle of a presentation, I don't have to look down at the buttons as they feel different and are large enough for me to distinguish each one.

I like the fact this pointer also has a laser built in. This has been helpful on many occasions, and my previous pointers (more expensive) did not have this useful feature. The laser is bright red, and can be seen in a dimmed room at over 50 feet. Very nice.

This pointer comes with a little black bag to store the two pieces (pointer and receiver). My other pointers had a stick that would fit within the base of the pointer. I like that feature better than the bag given as part of this purches. If you don't seal the bag well, the receiver could be lost and you could end up with a laser pointer as the pointer would not work with any other receiver. They are paired via the serial numbers.

One other caveat: Make sure you flip the switch on the side to the "OFF" position when you are done presenting. I like this feature and am glad this pointer has this function. I can't tell you how many times I would try to use a pointer, only to find out the pointer had been on in my briefcase or bad, draining the battery. That won't happen here if you use the "OFF" button.

Finally, as with most other presentation pointers on the market, if your computer was built after 2001 or so, this unit will work for you. You will need a USB port (either ver. 1 or 2). The computer should automatically configure your computer once the receiver is pushed into the USB slot.

Couldn't use it 2008-05-12
Somehow I missed the specs if they were there. It did not work on a Mac. I did get a prompt refund.
