Very Protective

I purchased this case almost a year ago and am very satisfied with it. It's hard to find a case for the Zen and when you finally find one, it's very expensive. This case is reasonably priced. I have to say that this case actually saved my Creative Zen because one time I dropped it, on concrete, and my Zen still works like a charm.
Surprisingly well designed belt clip

The other attributes and detriments of this product are discussed well enough in other reviews so I will stick to my most pleasant surprise in using the skin.
The belt clip, at first glance, looks flimsy and can be confusing to assemble, but once on it is one of the best I have ever used.
It places the balance at the top of the clip, so it doesn't easily topple off if clipped on a pocket, or loose clothing. (Which has been a beef of mine with belt clips all the way back to the days of the walkman.)
Also, (my favorite feature) it has a quick release tab that allows you detach and reattach the player to the clip without excessive fumbling around at your belt.
For my money and my needs, this has been an excellent purchase.

I've had this case for almost five months.... IT was alright... i mean it was on but the little window on it came off and I've lost it probably somewhere around the two month mark, so my screen really wasn't protected well. and with that missing dust still managed to weasel its way underneath (having taken it off for the first time since putting it on) I dunno. I wasn't expecting the world with this. So... i guess it boils down to i don't love it... i don't think I'd buy it again anytime soon.

A lot of pieces for a great price. I bought this per my husband's request for his Zen. He loves it! He wanted the black because he isn't into the as he put it, popsicle colors.
His suggestion is to leave the bolt attached to the skin all the time. Leave the armband clip attached to the armband all the time. Unclip the two of them as needed.
He's used the armband to work in the yard and listen to his pod casts and the kick bar to watch videos on breaks and lunch at work. He's happy with how they all work and he's picky.
Only drawback is that this isn't sold directly from Amazon and is a separate shipping price but not worth deducting a star for.
Protectective Silicone Skin Case

I wish there was a negative star option. I bought this stupid case and wasn't even able to use it. While sliding it on (or should I say wrestling it on) the case tore! I even had to reset my Vision as it got fritzed during said beatdown process. I don't know what else to tell you to buy, but DON'T get this.
Belt Clip Broke, Lost My Zen 2008-04-29
The belt clip broke on day 3 after I got it. I was at school and when I got into my car after a lecture I realized it was gone and the clip was broken. Went back to the lecture hall and it wasn't there. The arm band was fine though...
Worthless Piece of Junk 2008-03-22
I bought this product shortly after investing in a Creative Zen Vision M 60gb, so suffice to say I wanted to protect my investment. The very first time I used this product as an armband on a short mile and half run with the arm band properly secured, the skin broke, it literally tore apart and my mp3 player went crashing to the hard pavement never to work again. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs. I was able to get a new Zen from the manufacturer because it was still under warrenty but the process was long and drawn out. Avoid this skin, its not even worth the one star I gave it.

The skin is so tight over the Zen that the buttons are depressed by the skin. This prevents the Zen from responding to your button commands whether it be play, browse your library, or even power on. Once on my Zen I couldn't even get the screen protective flip panel in place as the holes that are used to mount it to the skin were too far apart for the flip panel.
Is there a decent protective covering for the Zen that protects and still allows you to use it?

this product is very good for keeping my Zen nice and clean, although the composition of the plastic cover is not very good as it could easily fall off at any time...But it has had no negative effects so far and it's a good and reasonable price.
