Good balance between power and duration use
2008-06-07
Drove self taping screws all day into a roof of a 2 car garage with TIN all day. My brother used it a lot and he stated he wished ALL his tools had a bright LED like that when the daylight started to fade out on us. We only used one battery but I had another one charged and ready to go. The first one did not loose power or die on us. That's a lot of screws.
Just what I needed

I bought one of these for use in a contract manufacturing environment. I'm the manager of several mechanical assemblers and just received a new contract to build laptop docking stations. These kits come with 2 batteries and a super charger that recharges the batteries in just 30 minutes. They will last up to 4 hours of constant use. Tongue is perfect and very easy to adjust. Not overly noisy like some impact guns. This is a nice smooth operation driver that does what it is supposed to do very nicely. I bought a second one for the same use. I'm not only a manager, I'm an assembler too. Had to have one myself.
This little drill packs a punch. Thank you, Bosch!

This quality little drill / electric screwdriver is absolutely wonderful. It's smaller and lighter than a regular drill, but has a lot of power for its size (unlike those 3 to 4 volt "electric" screwdrivers). Rubber grip built-in handle is nice, easy to change bits (just pull, insert, and release), and LED light make this a very comfortable and easy to use tool. I was hesitant because of the price, but finally pulled the trigger and bought one, and I am very happy that I did so. I use this little Bosch drill much more than my bigger and heavier drill, and more as an electric screwdriver than a drill. Very happy with this product and highly recommend it to all.
In small tool, a big power

Bosch PS20-2 Pocket Driver
2008-05-06
Bosch has always made some of my favorite tools. When I saw the Pocket Driver at a trade show and felt how light and powerful it was, I knew I found a great all-around screw driver for my business. I can use it for pocket screw joinery because the torque settings snug things up without crushing the wood. With the variable speed trigger, I can use it for controlled installation/removal of slotted screws. Contrary to some reviews, I even do some light drilling to start small screws (Vix Bits). Three people have tried mine and immediately bought their own. My DeWalt is now only used for drilling holes. Now I'm looking seriously at the Bosch Impact Driver for those screws the Pocket Driver can't handle.
NEWS FLASH?? SAME PISTOL, NEW 12 V VERSION! 7/21/08
2008-07-22
I had to check, and recheck, but sure enough, Bosch is now packaging these in a 12volt version being sold at LOWES here in Fort Lauderdale, Florida...Everything else looks identical (case,2 batts, charger, etc), just the batts are now 12 volts! Bosch claiming increased speeds and torque! The price for this "High Voltage" versions wes $128USD as of 7/21/08. Odd. I couldn't find ANY supporting literature on the higher volt versions and include the PS20 models as well-
JUST ONE QUESTION. WHY WOULD YOU WANT BOTH THE PS20 AND PS40 VERSIONS-just wondering. . .

Bosh 10.8 Great Tool

The Bosh Driver is great and lite when you need to be using it thought out most of the day . I can't say enough about it.
lite weight drill
2008-07-18
Like the drill however advertising states drill 300 3 " screws with one charge......I have 2 batteries and I have never come close to the advertised statement..
Drill is light weight and easy to use but not as powerful nor does the batteries last as long as my ridgid 9.6 drill driver.

What a great little driver! I had to re-assemble my backyard storage shed over the weekend and I decided to re-build it using screws. I would have typically dragged out my heavy cordless drill and would have been exhaused after several hours of use. I used this little driver and was able to drive in about a hundred 2" and 2 1/2" coated deck screws without any problem! And this little driver is so small and light, I was also able to simply tuck it into the front pocket of my tool belt like it was in a holster. At the end of the day, I realized that it was still in my tool belt for the entire day without even noticing it was there. And the light came it very handy for those screws that were is slightly shaded corners. Overall I would recommend this little driver without hesitatation! Keep up the great work Bosch!!
Good Driver, Good Merchant
2008-07-09
The refurbished Bosch PS20-2 is a great driver with plenty of power for my purposes.
The merchant that sold it to me (it was CPO Bosch) responded very well and very promptly when I thought I had a problem. (I was mistaken about the problem. The driver worked perfectly.)
(I did have trouble getting Amazon to forward my concern to CPO Bosch, but this was an Amazon problem, not a CPO Bosch problem.)
