Just as good as the originally included were

I ordered these because after about six months of use my previous foam earbuds were starting to disintegrate. I discovered the best way to extend the life of these foam earbuds is to wash them gently to clean any of your ear goo off of them but as they are just basically earplugs with a hole in them they simply won't last as long as the rubber ones.
However they're far more comfortable than all the rubber ones I tried in the original package that came with the Shures in the first place. I typically have either one or both of my earbuds in for eight hours every weekday as I listen to many podcasts, music and books while I work. I also wear them almost every night while I run, which means they soak up a good deal of sweat, skin cells and etc from that. Taking all this into account the fact that I got six months or more out of my original foam earbuds considering that they're used almost all day, every day and sweated on for at least an hour is a good testimony to their quality and the fact that they stay in your ear even when you're moving quickly and bouncing.
Since there are ten in there, if I continue my high use and get the same six months or so out of them (probably closer to 8 months to be perfectly honest, I'm making conservative estimates) and one goes in each ear, 5x6=30 so I should be good for another 30 months of use. This little package should last me at least two years, probably a good deal more.
I'd say the price is a little bit high, it'd be a more equitable deal at less than ten dollars but I was willing to pay the 13 so apparently it's not that high.
They don't fit E2C!!

The interior plastic shafts in these replacement foams DO NOT FIT the Shure E2Cs tightly enough to work properly. They slip off of the earbud spindle easily, and thus DO NOT offer the same tight fit as the original. Given the huge markup for a piece of plastic and some foam, this is incredibly irritating. If you enjoy earbud-less foam stuck in your ear, this is the product for you.
As Expected

These foam pieces are the same as the ones that come in the original headphone package...just more of them in the size that fits you. Not exactly cheap considering what they're made of, but I guess the headphones weren't exactly cheap either. Foam offers much better sound isolation than the rubber pieces.

Work very well with your ear phones. Squeeze to small size and hurry up and get them in your ear. Holds ear piece well and blocks out wind noise when riding the motorcycle. Recommended.
Ride on.............
Comfort and silence.

Simply put, I love the Shure Ec-2 earbuds, and these replacement foam covers. They are incredibly comfortable - I really don't feel the buds, even after I've been using them on a long flight. They shut out the noise really well. In fact, one has to be careful, and not wear them when you have to hear PA announcements, traffic approaching, etc. etc.
Glorious. Try them, and then buy them. They seem expensive (sometimes the buds only last a few weeks of intermittant use), but they are well worth it.
great replacement foam for apple in ear headphones

These reusable, disposable foam sleeves compress to fit gently into the ear. Once in the ear, the foam expands to form a tight yet comfortable seal that holds the earphones firmly in place. The E2c/E2g/i2c earphones and QuietSpot Headsets come in orange foam sleeves for the best personal fit.
works but too expensive.

These are the same that come with your new E2 head set, but boy are they expensive. you get 5 pairs, (not 10 as the wording might mislead on to think), and they are all the same ones that come with a new unit. nothing exciting. but it does work. cancels out noise, and makes your music sound great. What you see is what you get.
