Editorial Review
Click, swivel and go. Getting your Garmin unit ready to ride is easy with this compact dash mount. Adjusts easily, like a rearview mirror, so you can position your GPS for the best viewing angle. Secure mounting base to dash with either permanent or temporary adhesive disks (included).

This Thing is TERRIBLE! 2008-03-29
Buy the dash mount unit as this suction cup windsheild mount will freeze to your windsheild and you won't be able to get it off after about a week. (no kidding)
I just bought the dash friction mount (with heavy nonskid beanbags) and it works great on a contoured dash. Worth ever penny of the $25. Buyer beware on this item... Garmin should re-design the rubber on this suction cup to be able to deal with high and low temperatures without damaging the cup!

review of garmond dash mount. 2008-02-28
garmond dashboard mount for street pilot c550 [010-10747-02]
the product comes with a temporary mount stick pad and a perminent stick pad. the temporary stick pad lasted for less than 24 hours despite riggidly addhering to the install instructions. the instuctions on the perminent stick pad stated that if it came off, one would not be able to completely remove pad residues from the dash board, leaving some perminate residue. therefore, i was afraid to use the perminent pad

Bad Adhesive 2008-01-19
I followed all the instructions and mounted it with the permanent adhesive after the temporary one melted into a gooey mess (cleaned up easy). Sometimes it holds fast and other times it's useless... I am afraid to try another adhesive just yet so I deal with the adhesive woes. The base its self is great the Garmin locks right into it securely and you can adjust it to any angle you want.

Garmin GPS dashboard mount 2008-01-12
Holds the Garmin GPS unit that it was designed for extremely well. I use it with a 250W Nuvi. It needs a smooth surface and the rubber pad needs to be "wetted" before clamping to dashboard or windscreen, otherwise it will lose suction and fall off. Otherwise, a great asset making it much easier to mount the GPS unit wherever is best.

Excellent mount 2007-12-04
I had the base mounted already from my previous GPS, so really bought this for the arm portion. I had the mount base from my StreetPilot 2620 and it's been permanent on the dash for two years and no issues. This is much better than the windshield mount for the NUVI660. The product DOES NOT come with the cradle, so you have to use the existing one from your NUVI. Excellent.

Great Dash Mount for Garmin Nuvi 760! 2008-07-16
I had the Garmin Street Pilot 2610 which was stolen and now replaced by Garmin Nuvi 760. The old GPS had the permanent dash mount which is still on my dash. The base is exactly the same as this item except without the "arm". The "arm" fits perfectly in the old base and my new GPS fits on it perfectly without having to fear the unit may fall off of the suction device since I had the permanent mount for >2 years now.

I had the beanbag for the old GPS before, one day I stepped on the gas hard and the gps landed on the shifter and broke the screen. That's why I decided to mount it permanently.

Not such a good idea 2008-06-28
Two days ago, it came off my dashboard... eventhough I installed it using the "permanent" tape that it comes with, the heat of the summer was enough and the glue wiped off clean. From the begining, I would have to be re-adjusting the angle of the Street Pilot because with the bumps it would go down; this never happened with the original suction cup that I had to re-cycle. So in general... not such a good idea.

Not too Durable 2008-06-09
I used the beanbag mount for the Garmin iQue product. When I purchased the C550, I tried the suction cup mount but I could never get it to stick to the windshield for more than a few days. I purchased the Garmin Dashboard mount and it lasted three weeks, or until the first really hot day. The car is kept garaged during the day and at night so it was only one day of heavy sunshine needed to separate the base from the dashboard. I wound up with the C550 in my lap at 60 mph.

I can't recommend this product to anyone due to safety concerns. If the glue had separated during a tight turn, it could have resulted in an accident.

For now, I'm going back to the beanbag mount but I'll give careful consideration to a factory-installed GPS in my next car.
