I also have the Irwin parallel clamps and both clamps are great. The Jet clamps have a lot of nifty features that I really like. The quick release works really well and that's one of my favorite features. I don't think any of the other parallel clamps have that. The handles are big and much more comfortable than the Irwins. And one feature that I thought I wouldn't use are the measurements but I actually use it a lot because I like to lay out the clamps before hand and then glue up the pieces. The Irwins feel beefier and the clamping surface is bigger but the Jet clamps are much easier to use and I would prefer it over the Irwins.

You'd think you couldn't improve on clamps....

...boy was I wrong. These clamps are extraordinarily well built. The jaws are a little larger than the ones you'll find on a typical Bessey or Jorgen, and the quick-release trigger is a great feature. The handle is much more comfortable than the traditional wooden handle, you can really crank these down without getting any blisters. The blocks for aligning the clamps and screw-in bench dogs are a nice feature. These things are pretty stable by themselves, but with the bench dogs aligning all the pieces is a lot less stressful.

I own a lot of cheap Harbor Freight clamps for bulk work, but you need a few high-quality clamps for edge-gluing boards, cabinets etc. I don't think you can do better than these.

Too beefy

Is it possible for a product to be too beefy? If so then this is it. That's not a bad thing for sure. I you want a clamp system that is straight, true and STRONG then buy these clamps.
Just one thing...they will outlast you. Guaranteed.

Best clamp set ever.

I already had a small collection of the Bessey cabinet clamps, a couple of the Woodcraft clamps made by Bessey, and an assortment of pipe clamps. The Jet clamps beat all other clamps hands down. The clamping surface is physically much larger than the Bessey, the clamps much beefier overall. My Bessey clamps look like cheapie HF knockoffs compared to the Jets. Handles are better, making it easier to get more clamping pressure. Only complaint is that the trigger does not make it easier to slide the clamp - it's much sticker to slide than a Bessey. The upside is that I've never had a finger mashed by the Jet (you've got to be careful not to do this with a Bessey, because they slide too easily when you turn the clamps end-up).

I bought the cabinet door set; it's much better than the Bessey set I bought a couple years earlier. The clamp holders are easier to use and very stable. I've put together a few doors using QSWO and did a six-foot long glue-up of some pecan boards, and this set was a pleasure to use. Unless someone comes out with something even better, which I don't see happening for a while, these are the only clamps I'll buy from now on.

I ordered the Jet Clamp Set from excellent information a nd pictures. The set wss shipped in 4-5 days as was received in excellent condition at the best price I could find on the internet with free shipping.
The product is being used in the manufacture of cabinet doors. I have purchased a number of Jet Clamps in the past but the newer clamps have some valuable new features such as a quick release trigger and numerical demensions of clamps setting in incheswhich helps in optaining equal parralel squarness.

After owning the Bessey clamps and using them for years, I was under the impression that they where the King of clamps. However, the Jet Clamps have put them to shame. When ever I go for glue up now, I reach for the Jet clamps. They are so much easier to use and the clamping pressure is excellent. I would highly recommend them.

Found this product at several places but Amazon.com had the best price, the best shipping and received the clamps soon after I order them. They worked well in the jig I made for a 16 inch Makita circular saw. Thank you to Amazon.com for an appreciated job well done.

excellent product and price

these clamps are sturdy and well designed. they have many design perks including clamp head reversibility, ruler scales along the sides for repeatability, and end pieces to keep them level during use. my only complaint is that the clamp heads sometimes stick a little when trying to move them. i have not used the clamping jigs yet, but they look user friendly.

These clamps are great they hold doors very square. I recomend them. the price is much better than the competition.
