Portable required

Office tasks required portable phones. Good , easy to use, but some listeners say voice quality a little muffled. Small price to pay for the convenience.
Works - no prob with WIFI

Have used this with the base station. Really like it over the RCA or Motorola products. Amazon delivered - usual service.
We have 6 handsets.
There have been some complaints about changes to the product. We have found it to work fine. The transfer of calls is OK. Some things need to be gotten used to. All true.
But as a pure phone, the sound is very clear for a cordless and this is KEY>
Bottom line: works as a 4-line cordless and does that job extremely well.
So-so companion to the base unit

The 5.6Ghz is nice, but in all 4 units I own, ALL of them have such low volume, people complain they can't hear me and I speak very loud. It is also hard to hear them. I've tried headsets, but that is no improvement. If it were only on 1 unit, I could accept it was a defect, but it is this way on all 4 of the units I own.
Excellent system for small office!
2008-03-04
I purchased this system for a small non-profit organization that i was helping. Because they only have two to three folks, but three lines, i needed a system that had multi-line capability. It was fairly easy to program both the base and the handsets, but even with eight years in the Telco industry, i still had to read the manual! The phones seem to work fine and i like the conference feature that allows more than one person on a single line.
Better than the origional
2008-02-17
We had the original. We had them for over 5 years, of course they has some issues but they sure took a beating. Now this model has a couple of improvements over the original. The keypad works much better, the original had issues with the 1 key. This models base offers music on hold, it comes with a prerecorded song or you can make your own like we did in GarageBand on a Mac. The base even includes a cord to connect the computer directly to the base. Make sure you don't have the volume turned all the way up on the computer, it makes the sound easier to understand. Keep in mind this isn't hi-fidelity. Also keep in mind these units are complex and you will get more out of them if you read the manuals.

So far this system is working well for us. Wish there are more options such as more flexible extension numbers, etc.
Excellent follow on model

We used a previous version of this system for years. This much improved system handles even the tiny wishes we had from the old system. Music on hold, speaker phones, great range, etc. I actually bought multiple systems and tried them in my offices. I returned them all except the Panasonic.
panasonic cordless phone
2007-03-10
Big disappointment. Unlike previous Panasonic phones that have always been 'slightly ahead of their time' this phone is difficult to use and there are too many steps involved to make or take a simple phone call. It's designed as badly as MS software. One of the annoying features is you have to hold the button down for almost 3 seconds to take a call on hold - it's a mess. Stay away.
Cell phone ease and portability for a land phone

Sound is great. Ease of use is wonderful. The guys in our shop have not complained once and we have had the phones for over a month!
