Not worth it 2008-08-02
I purchased this to be used for a camping trip with my 4 and 10 year old so I would not have to leave one in teh tent while I went with the other to the comfort station. I haveto say thsi unit is much larger than I thought it would be. It held all of us with a problem. It worked fine but then it began to leak around the hand pump. I don't think it is worth the price of it. If I coudl do it all over again, I would not have purchased it.

Good potty, but a couple of issues... 2008-07-29
I bought this for a cabin that has no septic system. Comfortable, works perfectly - order extra Liquid Gold deodorizer, a 4 oz. sample comes with it. All-in-all a luxury camp potty! My only problems are:

The 5 1/2 gallon holding tank is way too heavy for me to deal with by myself. Bummer. OK, so I should have found out how much that would weigh, but it didn't occur to me. I don't recall that any of the brands talking about this, but they should. (Hey, not every porta-potty empty-er is a man! Some women have to do things for themselves, to paraphrase Annie Lennox!)

And, I read somewhere (maybe here) when researching this brand/model that two people can use it for a week before emptying. No, no, no...ONE person can use it for a week... So much for my every-two-week plan!

Port-A-John Rentals are over! 2008-06-11
We held a concert in our back yard, and priced some portable toilet rentals --ARRGHHH! I did some hunting and comparing and found this to be way less than renting, and convenient enough to suit my small concert venue. And my wife didn't have to complain about my originally-suggested toilet-seat-on-a-bucket idea. It sells for a decent price, works nicely, and cleans up good, too.

Great little toilet 2008-06-07
I bought this item to go in my horse trailer. How many times have you gone out riding and there is no where to go potty. Im tired of that so the dilemma is solved...
This toilet is sturdy (Im a big woman) and plenty tall enough off the ground. Its wide enough and holds lots of water. I looked at other toilets and by far this one is the best of the lot. Im not going to write a book or even get technical. All I have to say Im happy with my purchase and so is my bladder....

Modern Toilet Works Wonders!, 2008-05-19
This Port'O John, which is basically a traveling toilet, is a mild example of modern American genius at work. Designed by the team at Pzizer, which manufactures toilet piping vents and toilets for wheel bound people, it utilizes a battery to flush the waste and a collector unit that stores it in small plastic bags, easily disposed of along your travel route or at a restaurant garbage trash bin. Can fit inside a 4 door mid-size family vehicle, and comes with "spice" air deodorant and a pack of "rash free" toilet paper. I found it heavy to carry but eventually used an old wheelchair to push it around. Works good.

Visa Portable Toilet 2008-05-12
I use this toilet on a regular basis and find that it will last on relatively full time use for about 4 days. It is relatively odor free to use. We put a few ounces of odorban in the fresh water tank as well as the waste tank. Odorban comes in gallon jugs at Sam's. The waste tank can get rather heavy when full. It is relatively easy to empty with the self storing attachments but as you pour it in the toilet the odor get's stirred up so make sure you turn on the exhaust fan and hold your breath. All and all the Visa toilet does meet my expectations and certainly is better than paying the high prices of the compost toilets I researched.

Tricky dumping 2008-04-07
We purchased the Visa 268 for when we camp in areas with inadequate facilities. It was easy to set up and worked as expected. There was a bit of fresh water leakage around the pump. The key is to put enough fresh water into the bowl before using it. Where it got tricky was dumping it. It comes with a pour spout but it became plugged while I was poring it out. The best way is to not use the spout and dump it direct, then when it is almost empty open the flush valve and use a hose to rinse it out. Overall it is a good product.

Cost too much for quality 2008-03-28
I bought this porta potty for plein air painting out in the wilderness, but was disapointed in the structure of "the flimsy seat". Buy it at a lower price, and you won't feel "taken".
