On long road trips the Jwin JD-VD766 8.4" Portable DVD Player is almost a godsend. When travelling with children, this convenient portable diverts and focuses their attention. The car is quieter and you can be more attentive to the road. At a hotel, you can play their familiar favorites. When they're asleep, you (and your spouse) can view your favorite DVDs. It also can play audio CD discs so you can listen as well. If you're camping out, it's like having home entertainment in your tent. This compact unit has a widescreen 8.4" LCD display. There's a built-in speaker but we think you'd prefer listening with an earphone. Either way, at home or away, this portable player is like an insurance policy for comfort. This little DVD player had everything I needed - power adapter for car, long-lasting battery and remote control. It didn't survive a recent trip in my luggage (that was my fault - it's not invincible ...) but I like it so much, that I'm buying the same exact model as a replacement. At the price, it's such a great deal for the size of the screen and everything it includes.
