The Telephone Adapter is equipped with two telephone jacks allowing two separate Vonage phone lines, so you can have one regular phone line and one fax line. Upon initial set up, just pick up your phone and start using it like you normally would. Great Product 2008-01-25
This router is so compact and light, we can just hide it on the desk and hardly know it's there. We bought it when our V-Tech Vonage router suddenly died on us after just a couple months so hopefully this one lasts a little longer.

Easy, clear and functional right out of the box 2007-11-23
This was a recommended router by Vonage, with whom I've been a customer for almost five years. I had an outdated phone converter and needed to buy a replacement unit. I bought this online, followed the simple instructions on the box - since I already had a Vonage account there was no new setup - and voila, two minutes later I had a dial tone. How nice.

Works as advertised, second port for second line only 2007-11-17
This just works, although it should be noted that the second port is for a second line *only*, it cannot be used to hook up a second telephone set to the same line (like a fax machine) - for that you will need a cheap splitter.

Not work with 2-line Panasonic cordless 2007-05-19
Doesn't work with my Panasonic 2-line cordless phone.

When the adapter is connected to line 2, that line is always shown as being in use. And there is a loud 60Hz power-line hum noise when you use line 1 as a conventional phone.

The Vonage part of it works well. There is some echo on occasion but I understand that that is normal and was prepared for it.

If I disconnect the D-Link box from the phone, the problems go away. Returning the D-Link box.

2007 Vonage is Better 2007-03-22
If you'll notice, most 2006 users of vonage seem to have problem. That's because they've just started to be aggressive in the tech deployment. 2007 seems to be a stable period for their voip services. I was at the biggest consumer electronic show in vegas and their products were tested, and it proved good.

The price is a-okey with me because i use it alot for international call. I cant say its perfect, but most of the time it works well.

The only peeves is that if I dont have internet connection, then bye bye to my phone calls. Good thing i have my cell.

by the way, i use this d-link. It seem to be small and works just fine. Simply follow the direction and youre good to go. Vongae is user friendly and quite easy to migrate from verizon.

if you hope to transfer---include me as a friend who referred you. my username is felisitareyes. ok!

Buyer beware, Vonage is NOT a good option. 2008-06-19
I dont care which router you buy from Vonage, you will certainly regret it. I have had Vonage for about 4 years now and once a year no matter what, your router will go bad and you will have to get on the phone with these people. The customer service could no be any worse. My router stopped working again for about the 5th time since i started the service. Today I was on the phone for more than an hour and the rep told me that if I had any more problems that they would not be able to replace my router again. Please keep in mind that they have never replaced a router for free since the very first year. I have never, never been so frustrated in my life with any other customer service. Not to mention the fact that my phone will be down for about 7 days while I wait for my new equipment. The service is so bad, that the last time this happened I didnt even bother calling customer service until I know I had about 1.5 hrs free to deal with them. Trust me, it is not worth it in my opinion. As soon as I get this new eqipment, i will throw it on ebay and go back to my old hardline service. Even if you see good reviews on here, I can assure you that those people are new to the service and have not had to deal with them on the phone yet. Buyer beware, buy at your own risk.

Plug and Play!! 2008-04-11
I really like this unit. Had another before, I think it was a Linksys, which was HUGE!! This one is small, about the size of a pack of cards, and it will work with two lines.

It's easy to set up. All you need to do is connect it to your online connection and plug a phone in. Simple.

About Vonage in general-- sound quality is pretty good, features are nice, and it's a good service overall. Customer service is a bit weird, with the calls going to the Philliapeans or another non-US call center. I have gotten great service from them though, so don't let that scare you.

Online interface is great. You can view your bill, call logs, get voice mail, and more.

This is much better than traditional phone companies, if you ask me. The only problem is you have to have a high speed online service.

The best thing about this is that you can get it and take it ANYWHERE. I have moved three times and didn't have to worry about changing my address with the phone company. And if you need to go around the world, just take it with you and people will still be able to reach you at the same number.

Super easy install, works great. 2008-02-25
Installation was super easy. Works faster and better than the original Linksys Router that came with my new Vonage service couple of years ago. And it takes up 1/3 of the space. Highly recommend.

Great savings on telephony 2008-02-17

I was able to reduce my phone bill, I speak to any part of the USA and Canada, besides my free calls to England, Italy and Spain also have friends and family who do not wise spirit of them a long time and now I talk almost every day in my spare time

Bad customer support 2008-02-02
When I terminated Vonage service, they charged the disconnection fee of around $30.00; however, they never advertise this anywhere. I was not aware of the hidden fees by vonage. I am outraged by this.

It took me almost 20 minutes to tell them I want to disconnect the service, but the operator would not accept this and wasted lots of my time, and I had to tell them again and again that I just want to disconnect the service, finally they did.

Now that I dont have vongage anymore, they have bombarded my mailbox with specials, and they need to stop this as well.

I am not recommending Vonage to anyone, especially because of bad support.
