I've been totally satisfied with these DVDs. I use them for my upconverting DVD recorder and they work great.
what a waste of money

But even more than wasting money, it's the time I'm wasting. The disks appear to write, but my player chokes during finalization. I'm tossing out 1/4 of all disks. Stay away from these disks. If you have any on-hand, make sure you don't erase/delete your original data until the disk is finalized.
These are junk! AVOID! 2007-05-15
A quarter of these were defective, with dye ripples across one half of the disc. Decent quality control would've caught it, but apparently they have none.

Low cost, high quality DVD blank media 2007-03-21
We use a lot of DVD disks to record movies off of TV, save photos, etc., so I am always looking for inexpensive disks. The price was very, very competitive, and the disks are of high quality. We have not had any problems recording or playing back after recording to these disks.

Great Disk for the Price 2007-02-18
I tried cheap DVD-Rs for my movie collection but they fell flat when I tried to use them on my DVD player. Recommend you buy one or two disks to try first before committing to 50 or 100. Once you find a brand that works, stick with it. These Ridata disks work great for me.

no record speed 2007-02-07
Have used many types of dvd-r. This the only one I have found that didn't have a record speed encoded in it and was unusable. Tried different locations on the spindle and the same results. Would have been a good buy if they worked. Gave it only one star because there was no 1/2 star.
