Editorial Review
- 2 ounces. - The wax is for longer-term use (like a museum) - Putty is more easily removable (gallery installations, household use). - There is no expiration date on the packaging, storage is indefinitely ok. - Will hold up to 40 pounds of weight securely in place. - Every 4-6 months, is recommended to lift the object and roll up the wax or putty, roll the wax/putty into a ball, and then reapply the same wax/putty & replace - Best for laminated or non-porous surfaces. - Easy, simple and reusable. - Crystalline clear. - For anchoring collectibles and artifacts. - Blended Microcrystalline Wax used by Museum Professionals to secure art, glass, statues, china and more.

Quakehold! Museum Wax 2008-06-23
This stuff really works! It adheres your precious items securely to their base, making it nearly impossible to knock them over. I've used this with a couple of expensive vases and even when a child threw a big ball at one of them, it did not move. It is not hard to remove the wax to relocate your item when you're ready to do so, and any wax residue comes off easily without damaging the surface you had it on. I would highly recommend this product. In fact, I've bought three jars of it as gifts which were very much appreciated.

Holds ceramics firmly in place 2008-04-14
We used Museum Wax to secure some mid-century ceramics to a marble credenza. It was easy to apply, holds firmly, releases when you want it to, and cleans up easily.

Works great to keep fragile objects from falling over 2007-09-26
Museum wax is NOT designed to level objects but is instead meant to keep fragile objects, such as vases with small bases, from falling over. In earthquake prone areas, it helps keep small objects from breaking during a quake. In my Museum (I am the Exhibits Specialist in a art museum), we use it on objects that might fall over if someone bumps into the pedestal. We have used it on objects that have been in place for 10 years and the wax is still pliable and easily removed/applied. Read the directions before using.

Quick tip: Use dental floss to separate the object from the pedestal when it has to be removed before trying to pick up the object.

Museum Wax isn't magic. 2007-07-26
We carefullly leveled lots of art, large and small, using Museum Wax. In a week, much of it was out of level. Perhaps it's the warm weather, but I am disappointed.
