Too Small For My Neck
2008-08-24
This product needs to snap around your neck to fit properly, like a collar. I am under the height/weight indicated in the product description but it is too tight. I wear a shirt with a collar size of 17 (XL). Amazon or manufacturer should indicate a max collar size rather than a height/weight limit.
Another point - As others have noted there is a bit of a seam along the inside. If you wear a collarless shirt such as a T-shirt or many women's shirts this might be irritating. Don't think it would be too bad if wearing a shirt with a collar - as you could wrap it around the outside of a collar.
This goes back to Amazon.
Poor quality

My obus forme inflatable travel pillow will not stay inflated. I blow it up, close it, seal it, and it immediately deflates. I purchased this as a birthday present for my mother before a long overseas trip, so I am pretty disappointed she is not able to use it.
good deal

This pillow was a very good value for the money. It was convenient, comfortable and I had no problems with the plastic seam on the neck area. In fact I even tried to rub my neck on it, because of previous reviews, and couldn't feel it. I really liked the neck support, it held your head in more of an upright position but you could still lean into it as a pillow.I have a long torso and cant sleep upright usually. For the money it makes long plane trips more bearable. I would have given it 5 stars but one of my two sprang a slow leak by the end of the trip. But for the money, it is worth it.
Do NOT BUY IT!

This item is very uncomfortable and it smells like china right out the box. I would suggest just a regular stuffed neck pillow. Do not get one that is inflatable they just suck.
The snap at the neck makes all the difference

I'm usually not a good sleeper on a plane, but this combined with ear plugs and sleep mask have made all the difference. It holds your head up, doesn't slide around, and you're less likely to wake with a kink. I do wish the fabric was a little softer, but the trade-in for being inflatable is worth it.
Great Deal for a long trip

Never inflated properly

I was very disappointed when anticipating a good nights sleep on my long flight, this pillow would not inflate. The little device that you are suppose to blow into was not attached so air would escape almost immediately. I sent it back.
GREAT for Long Flights
2008-06-11
Loved this travel pillow for a long International flight to Paris. More supportive than others we've tried. Buying 3 more for our children for another long flight.
We did open them a week early to "air out" because it had a strong smell of plastic. If they do end up leaking, no big deal--they are affordable and we would rather keep buying them. We think they are more supportive than the buckwheat type pillows that shift and aren't as supportive.
If the seam rubs your neck, just put up your shirt collar or carry a lightweight scarf with you as a buffer between the pillow and your skin. It's not a big deal.
This item just puts me to sleep

I blew up this pillow while it was around my neck and said: Thiissss issn't verrrry comforrtablle. Then I let out a little air. Then I fell asleep for about 4 or 5 hours. Then I landed. Perfect
AWFUL EXPERIENCE.

I already had the Obus Forme Memory Foam Travel Pillow, wich is wonderful, when I decided to get the same brand inflatable one. Air flights these days are so limited in space available for the passengers that inflatable pillows turn out to be quite convinient. My former inflatabe pillow died on me on my last plane trip after several years of good service. I travel often, long 10 hour flights, so I can't get in the plane without something to support my neck while I sleep. It does has a good anatomical shape (better than other ones available on the market) but like other reviwers my complaint is about the seams. When they touch your bare skin this pillow turns out to be the most unconfortable thing ever! Was I glad my my trip was over!
