I love Altoids, and that is why this is getting such high rating....
To me, this tastes like the original Altoids (but milder) with a **little hint** of ginger taste. I'm one of those who regularly drink and chew fresh ginger. Thus, my expectation may be higher than others. I was hoping for a "portable" ginger to carry in my purse for my motion sickness. Hopefully this Altoids ginger will do the job.

A Cure for the Hack Attack 2008-05-13
One night, I awakened with a terrible, can't-stop-coughing attack. Ginger is well-known to stop the coughing. I rummaged around for the little pack of my dwindling supply of Ginger Altoids until I found it. I had to chew only one to stop the hack attack. What a lifesaver! Imagine my surprise when I discovered amazon.com carries the product. Thank you so much! I bought my first tin at a bookstore in Austin, Texas, and I haven't been able to find them since. To keep the supply strong, I'll have to buy a 12-pack every time I order.
Ginger Altoids - Le sigh...I wish they still made them! 2008-07-24
Altoids is an AWESOME product period. Where they F'd up was on discontinuing the GINGER flavored mints! Those are the BEST! They're great for upset stomachs, breath and just enjoyable period! I bought 2 cases of those darn things since they're quite hard to come by. I can only hope and aspire that the Altoids corporation will re-think this one and bring back this confectionary delight!

Altoids Ginger Mints Are The Best 2008-06-30
Well, it seems that on the Internet is the only place you can purchase these anymore. I bought a box somewhere where I live in Utah and I have looked in every store that I frequent trying to locate them again (no luck). I even read the helpful review that they used to be carried in Target and 7-Eleven. I checked there , too. No luck there either. I was a little concerned about buying them in a pack of 12, but I am getting family and friends hooked on them, so I don't think the quantity is going to be a problem. I may be back for more soon! Thanks!
Best thing since breathmints 2008-06-28
I was first introduced to Altoid Ginger over a year ago. After one ginger I was hooked, but could never find them in the stores. A friend of mines gave me a tin of them and from there I knew I had to find these Ginger Altiods. Of course I went online and found some Co. were selling single tins and other Co. by the case. Yes I bought the whole case! Boy am I happy! If you need or just want an alternative to everyday peppermints? try Altoids Ginger They freshen the breath nicely w/that ginger bite.
