however, can't place the scratch protector without air bubbles showing up on the screen.

This case looks great, and it's perfect for what I wanted -- serious protection for my iPod, which I knew would spend a lot of time getting bounced around in my purse. The screen protector thing was kind of stupid, and I ended up ditching it, but given the strong, hard cover, I'm not overly worried about screen damage.
