Good Remote 2008-05-14
Works on VISTA media center computers. Not as good as the remote that came with my HP, but is a good backup remote.

It's almost wonderful! 2008-02-08
This Media Center Remote is a wonderful addition to any system. It has loads of features and works really well. It doesn't, however, deliver that all important knockout punch!

Ok for Media Center only 2008-01-26
This remote seems to work fine when used with Media Center, but it works ONLY with Media Center. It doesn't work on Windows Media Player so don't go buying this product thinking that it will. I used it with Media Center until I got tired of it not being able to play half my music and video files and so started using Windows XP without the Media Center. To my surprise, Microsoft's own Media Remote doesn't work with Microsoft's Media player.

Almost perfect 2007-11-08
This is a great remote if you are using Windows XP Media Center Edition or Vista. The buttons are well laid out and have a good tactile feel. The remote fits nicely in the palm of my hand and the finish feels nice to the touch.

My only problems with the remote are more with the design of the Media Center that it controls. There is no option to close Medial Center from the remote. There are 2 power buttons on the remote, one controls your TV if you have configured it, and the other puts Windows to sleep. Since I use Windows as both a computer and a media center, I only need to close media center and not put the computer to sleep. In order to close media center, I have to use my mouse to click the x in the upper right hand corner.

It would also be nice if this remote could incorporate mouse movements when not in Media Center.

I also wish you could buy the remote and the sensor as separate items. The only reason I originally bought this remote was because I needed a sensor for the Windows Media Center Keyboard, which does not come with one. In the end, I am glad I have the remote though.

Just what I expected 2007-04-02
The product was brand-new, shipped promptly, and worked when I received it. All what I would have expected.

Another good experience with Amazon 2007-03-08
This product was as advertised. I received it 48 hours after placing order online. It doesn't get any better than that.
