Epson C88+ 2008-05-10
So far so good...just hope it lasts longer than the previous C88+ printer. I chose the same model because it is the only one that has all the qualities I want/need. The Epson ink is too costly and they fix it so that any other ink will not work or gums things up.Epson Stylus C88+ Ink Jet Printer (C11C617121)

Epson Stylus C88 2008-05-05
Purchased as a backup to my current printer, which is the same model. I wanted to be able to use unused ink if my current printer broke. Product was delivered on time and was in like new condition, it was sold as reconditioned. I would use this seller again.

Good functional printer 2008-04-27
I bought this as a replacement for my uncle who is 88 and still plugging away. This does not work well in OS9 so it helped him migrate to OS X and finally to his new(er) eMac. With file conversion we got the last of his OS9 files translated and now he prints his work with this printer. It does not have the superfast "ink saver" that his last HP had but the colors are much better.

Epson C88+ printer 2008-04-27
Gives beautiful prints but the ink cartridges are small. Especially the black, which is the workhorse of any printer. I went through a black cartridge in about two weeks. The Photos are clear and color-accurate, and can be borderless. The pics of our cat showed every hair as clear as a bell(she's black). I've always used Epson printers, and hope I get the same results from this one.

Mine lasted 5 years! 2008-04-19
I've had an Epson C88 for maybe 4 or five years and never had a problem with it. I'm a graphic artist and this printer gave me good enough quality printouts to show my customers color designs without feeling like it was printed on a cheap printer. Also 4" x 6" photo prints look great! (use good paper throughout for best results) The only thing was the price of the ink. Too expensive! So I installed a CIS kit (continuous ink system) on the C88 and it worked just fine. Well anyway the printer finally died. It actually sent me a message that the printer had lived out it's life cycle. I think it means that the sponges, cleaning system or print-heads are kaput. I tried everything to get it back to work but to no avail. Don't think about repairing when you can buy a new one for about $80 bucks and it comes with ink. Where I live inks cost around $60. I bought another epson C88 thru Amazon and got it in 2 days (with free shipping). Hooked up my CIS onto the new one and in 20 minutes I was hitting that print button. Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones but I was very happy with my old C88, it lasted a long time with no problems. I hope this new one works just as well.

Epson Stylus C88+ 2008-06-19
Another great/affordable printer from Epson. It's the 5th Epson printer that I've bought and I haven't been disappointed yet. Color and speed, just what I was looking for!

Pretty good printer 2008-06-16
I'm pretty happy with it. It does a nice job with graphics and most web printouts, but I have not printed many photos with it. I had a similarly priced Canon 4200i that did photos beautifully, but used non pigment based inks. Pigment is required for certain commercial applications requiring durability.

Both printers cost a fortune to run.

I tried and failed at installing a continuous ink system on the canon. So I tried the Epson because it uses pigment and owing to its popularity is easier to obtain a continuous ink supply. The continuous ink system from inksupply.com, was annoying to install. But it did work out and saves about 80% of ink costs.

Birthday Gift 2008-06-01
I own one and love it so much that I bought one for someone else as a birthday gift. He loved it as well!!

Epson C88+ Inkjet Printer 2008-05-24
I had an Epson C88 for years and it finally showed its age, so I ordered the Epson C88+ and am surprised at the improvement on an already great and cheap product. I would recommend this printer to anyone. I have been a computer consultant for 22 years, so I think I know what I am talking about.

Be aware of ink issues before you buy 2008-05-10
Be aware that Epson engineers its ink-jet printers to use small amounts of the color inks even when you only print in black and white. Eventually one or more of the color cartridges will run out and the printer WILL NOT WORK until you buy new cartridges - even if you have never used color.
